Ferocious CanWNT fan here!!! As a Canuck and a soccer fan.. I am extremely pumped to hear of Casey Stoney becoming the new women's national team coach! I can't wait to see what is going to come of this new relationship with Casey and the team. Yes....... I do believe that Casey can bring the team up in the rankings.. and how far.. that will remain to be seen... but I am very hopeful and completely endorse this new move! Bring it on I say... and let's get going!! BTW... I loved what all of you had to say about the team... and about Casey. It was all so very positive.. and feels like such a positive story .. and we need more of this in light of what is going on in the world right now! Great content and great job ladies! The fund predates this hire. Supporters of means were sought by concerned supporters to bolster Canada Soccer at least a year ago when all this mess broke about Canada Soccer failing to fund training facilities and its lack of support for the women’s and men’s teams. Spending money on PR instead of soccer. Good for those who came forward then and look what’s it’s now provided Canada. What does Sinc think? Has A3 sought her out on this?
I respect her, I love what she did with the Man U women but I really hope she can overcome her constant imitation of Elizabeth Montgomery as Bewitched….and stop twitching her nose all the time. It’s like a drinking game every time she does it.
