I watched your video on how to make the poppy flowers (from clay), and it was one of the easiest ones where they look really nice. I am making them for a cake, so they need to be edible which would require using fondant/gum paste instead of clay. Do you have any idea if using just fondant, just gum paste or a mixture of the two would be best. Also, since I need to make these flowers several days in advance, I was wondering how you store them so they don't get really hard/dried out or break when you want to add them to the cake. Can you just leave them out (to the air elements) or should I store them in a sealed bag?
Glad to know that my poppy tutorial is easy to follow and make. Yesss...you can use fondant/gum paste. well...ehm..yeah...I think you can keep the fondant in airtight container but don't put it in the fridge :)
Thankyou for sharing your inspirational talent 😊 I have got some DAS air drying clay in white and terracotta, I've never made anything with it before and would love to try and make your poppies, can you paint the finished clay poppy with acrylic paint and then paint it with resin ? Is airdried clay crumbly what dry ? 😊👍💖
No worries. Welcome to my channel. Yes! You can make clay Poppy flower with das clay and paint it with acrylic paints. For resin and clay performance I can't answer yr question. Just do it and experiment to know how it will turn out 🙂
Hello and thank you for taking the time to show us your beautiful work. I happened to see one of your tutorials and was hooked on your beautiful artwork. However if I may just give one good criticism is that your camera view is so close and it moves around so much and so fast that I have to pause every few minutes to refocus and recuperate from getting dizzy and then go back to the video.. lol.. so maybe I don't know how it's done but maybe less zooming in and out, less circling around and pull back for better view so we can see how you do your details more clearly. I'm sorry if I offend you just some constructive criticism.
Thanks for your comments and taking time to write your feedback. Really appreciate it. Ehm... When I just started making videos I was thinking of recording my steps. I wanted to cover many steps as possible but didn't want to spend too long watching the video again so I speed it up. And yeah.. sometimes I zoom in too close😔 But, I have improved it in my newer videos and hope I could improve it again in my next videos. Please keep watching and feedback again😘
I love your work and appreciate you helping us. The biggest problems are: you have the speed way too fast and your hands are too close to the camera, so much of the time we cannot see what you are doing. Can you update it and make the adjustments and repost it.we would love to see it again. Thanx an admirer! 😉💕

So keeping out in the air would dry it out too much and possibly break when I try to put it on the cake a few days later - right?
I think so..I am not good with fondant :)

@@lynnemitchell3252 gum paste dries harder, whereas fondant is still much more pliable...mix more fondant if you want em soft, vice versa
Awesome! The way you’ve deconstructed and then simplified the poppy’s components is really beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing in your artistry.
Thank you for your encouraging comment😊

Thanks for the short and to the point video. You make it look easy and make me feel like maybe I could do it. Did your clay come in those colors?

Você é fantástica

Hi, it”s paper clay. Yes, you can buy the clay at Amazon ... something like Martha Stewart clay. Here is the link: amzn.to/2JnB3d2
2024 👍
I wish this was not so off screen
Try and keep video on your hands I could not see how you made the centre by nipping pieces out the camera was not on your hand
Thanks for your suggestion.
good way to do it, but your hands are often out of frame and the camera is too close to your work so it is too distracting to watch.
😁 thanks for your comments. Yeah...I've moved too far from the camera 😊 I will improve and make better new videos. Take care.
camera work is not good..........so much of work out of range of view of camera
boring its to hard i made it
Cedric Lopez thanks for your comment. Thought it's super easy 😁 May be you have used wrong type of clay (???)
i think it was a wonderful video....not at all Boring.
maybe u should try a new hobby.
