      Glad you enjoyed! And I don' think we actually went over knots/the leader too much. If I were you I'd look up some actual videos on how to tie the euro rig. But basically it is a triple surgeons knot but you're leaving the tag end longer. Of course in the next video Bradly uses a completely different knot so I guess it is up to you.

    Nice video brother! They were some very nice wild rainbows in that stream! I’ve never seen wild rainbows that big in Pennsylvania or West Virginia. Too bad about the net fail it happens should’ve just stitched it together with some heavy tippet...

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  3 года назад +1

      Yep. And I knew about the hole I was just couldn't stop fishing. I ripped it on a bunch of briers getting to the creek. But yeah this creek has only wild rainbows and during the spawn there are always some bigger ones that push up. It is super fun fishing

  • @jameslent1622
    @jameslent1622 3 года назад +2

    Do you guys use the euro sighter, or go by feel when nymphing those smaller streams? Just curious as to your approach that way, some of those I feel like you wouldnt wanna use any indicator. Also, is there a native strain of rainbow out there at all? Super gorgeous bows, thanks take care.

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  3 года назад +3

      Well I learned I am supposed to go off of the sighter but I find myself using feel a lot. Which is a habit I'm trying to break. But no we don't have a native strain of rainbow. Although those rainbows have been in the creek for probably 50 years or more at this point.

    • @jameslent1622
      @jameslent1622 3 года назад

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  3 года назад

      @@jameslent1622 Yeah that is the good things about euro nymphing. The lack of an indicator makes it so you almost never spook fish, at least not by fishing to them. It is also crazy effective

      So we changed flies a lot on this day which I why I didn't go over it much. As Bradly said at the beginning of the video we changed flies based on depth and other water conditions. We used a pheasant tail, hairs ear, midge patterns, mop flies,, etc.

  • @dpace17
    @dpace17 3 года назад +1

    tip for novice anglers, drop shot/bounce rig fished without an indicator is more effective than euro nymphing on small streams imo, and you lose less flies to snags

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  3 года назад

      imo I don't like drop shot rigs. Just because you like something better doesn't mean the other is for "novice" anglers. Thanks for watching!

    • @dpace17
      @dpace17 3 года назад

      Hardman Fishing Adventures I hear you, I just feel like too many new anglers are getting on the hype train that is euro nymphing without realizing there’s other methods out there. Also not saying euro nymphing can’t be more effective, like most things there’s pros and cons to both

  • @tightliningmd

    This video takes some patience. 4 guys on a small stream is a lot of your turn my turn. Enjoyed the video as always. Loads of good content in here. Was he using a sighter at all? I see he is going with Euro Fly line. As you know I am more of a Mono Rig enthusiast. Many ways to fish and all successful. Just curious how he picks up strike detection. Did your brother dirty by the way. Guest catches a huge fish then poor Andrew put on camera catching a dink. Overall enjoyed the video and look forward to the next one.

    • @hardmanfishing
      @hardmanfishing  3 года назад

      Yes he uses a sighter. I think you can make it as difficult or as easy as you want to honestly. I know a lot of people use mono rigs and it is supposed to be pretty awesome. But yeah we pretty much just took turns, as I told Andrew I've fished that stream enough that I don't care who catches the fish. Just happy to be out there!
