And just as he said, Darkness trying to solve things on her own (like picking the hydra quest out of the blue) seems not to work since she leaves the party to go back home. That´s a change in tone for the whole anime that came literally out of nowhere - though there were hints that Darkness isn´t that relaxed like she was before this season. 😟
I honestly think its cute that aqua doesn’t hate wiz anymore (or atleast not as much)😂. She still hates vanir tho and i can’t see that changing any time soon
I think you guys are forgetting that the Hydra was corrupting the lake and the land around it. The whole reason it started attacking was because Aqua purified the lake. So overall it was definitely a good thing to slay the Hydra to stop that corruption.
When you are watching adventure anime, you need to understand this basic thing that each quest comes if it's harming human lives Or their livelihood. And the more bounty is for more dangerous quests. They didn't show what the hydra was doing but definitely it might have killed a lot of common people for which the quest was requested to the Adventurers with high bounty.

This Divine Treasure does not let you just control monsters by making an offering to them. When activated, It summons one (1) random monster to its location that it then controllable if you make an offering to it. The hydra is entirely irrelevant to this plot other than being enough of a problem for the countryside to have a bounty on it, and Darkness mistakenly thinking her family's problems can be solved by making some quick cash. (In the very short term this actually is a solution, except it doesn't address the fundamental problem of why Darkness needs to repeatedly raise money. Further, while extreme amounts of publicity in delivering the money will slow down the entropic effect present where it's as if you never delivered any money in the first place, it won't prevent it.)
