I had so many neat aquarium set-ups and then I had kids and got rid of them - no regrets as I knew I would return one day. Now that the kids are a lot older, I think it's time to start setting up aquariums again. Just need to find good sources. Plus so many things have changed I'm sure - look forward to finding out what's changed in the last 10 years.

I'm a huge animal person (I have multiple cats, a ball python, a hognose snake, a jumping spider) and I've had betta fish/shrimp setups for a while. Right now my live aquarium is cycling for dwarf frogs and the plants are growing like crazy! I'm so excited for the froggies to enjoy the overgrown plane-wreck scape I have! Is there a chance Aquashella will ever make it to Los Angeles (or even Nevada as it's drivable lol)? This is a dream festival for me. I want to eventually get into saltwater tanks, I want a nano shrimp tank, and I really want to eventually have tree frogs. I think after my dwarf frogs are situated, I am going to build a nice little betta tank for my cube at work. If Aquashella can't make it to LA, I'll just have to find a good reason to buy tickets out to Dallas next year. (: Love your videos, btw! These animals are brilliant. We share the world with the coolest creatures.
If you end up getting your mom an axolotl, PLEASE do as much research as possible. Many care sheets for axolotls are outdated. The axolotls that “glow” are known as GFP axolotls, GFP comes in every morph. The axolotls are much too crowded in those tanks and there are many eaten limbs and gills. I also like how the dude referred to the copper mel axolotl as a copper lol.
🤣 Come for the fish stay for the cookies . Get your Mom the axolotl Put it in an Aquascape aquarium with a good filter and feed you ain’t gotta worry about it like you would your other fish when you go on vacation
So the Axolotls were in with fish. Can you address this at all? I know that can be a dangerous/risky situation for them because their gills look like blood worms.... is this ok or frowned upon? Because I've never seen that before and everything I have researched in the past suggests it's a bad idea.

looks deformed to me too..
It is severely deformed (silver arrowana owner here) and many silver arrowanas have dotting like that. The guy trying to sell it is a scam artist.
