    Wenning warm ups has completely changed my training. I used to be stiff as a log and needed to spend considerable time on the foam roller. Now I don't even need to touch it!

    I have done the Wenning Warmups for about 8 weeks now, and the difference is night and day. Burning more fat, gpp up, weak points stronger, stronger on the core lifts. My warmup is more work than most guys whole work out.

    Wenning Warm-ups are a very helpful tool. definitely has helped me in many ways, from rehabbing my shoulder to better form on the squat, they are well worth implementing. Just don't do the same ones all the time. This is where conjugate comes into play

    I read comments on this channel and at times I think people forget two things. It's not bodybuilding, it's strength training and you can really excel at both. You'll grow and get stronger with both but to really excel you'll have to specialise.

      Man just taking some parts from conjugate like Bands & Chains & constantly switching exercises mixed with a bodybuilding split has done wonders for me my bench went 365 max to be able to hit 365 for 6 reps & Box Squat I did 420 for 10 on a 15 inch box

    Anyway thanks for the lessons!

      It's the same thing. You do a primer and two weak exercises, four sets of 25 but don't don't bar on your back as a primer. Then do your main move. Then your accessories, based on what weaknesses are causing you to stall on the main lift.

    Great info as always matt i wonder though could these particular warmups be applied to someone that has never done any lower body isolated training or is it preferred to break those unused mucsles in before hand?

    Would the time recommendation change if you have a lifting partner or multiple?
    Whenever I lift with a friend our workouts tend to take a fair bit longer, generally because it takes more time to change weights for twice as many sets, and rest times/lift times aren't exactly accurate. Also a bit of joking around/talking.

    I like the concept of wenning warm ups but for someone whose gpp is high from having an active lifestyle and job wouldn't it be better to drop the reps on warm ups a bit and concentrate more on the pre potentiation side?

  • @MartinMartinm

    My warm up is a 10 minute light jog on the treadmill to get the blood and sweat pumping, followed with 10 or 15 minutes of stretching. I find it hard to dive into weights without a jog and stretching first. Any room for improvement? Any thing wrong?

    • @StrengthHacksCoaching
      @StrengthHacksCoaching 10 месяцев назад +2

      As long as you are doing dynamic stretching that's a solid routine, although you can incorporate a blend of the 2 approaches by doing each activity for a shorter amount of time. This way you're thoroughly warmed up, mix in a little specificity with the high rep Wenning warmups, and don't have to spend 30 minutes doing it all.
