I was at Waikiki watching Alex and Scott work on the beach on December 2010. Such physically demanding work on a late hot afternoon, made me feel exhausted, and those scenes had been cut. I respect Alex, he was such a pro even when he looked unwell from pain killers, and also kudos to Scott for being kind and modest.

There's too much turmoil to which as a viewer cannot be chalked up to storyline.

There is always going to be some controversy in any TV show. I love the show and the actors. I wish them all well. I know some fans are bashing Scott Caan, but I think family is more important. If the big shots allow him to miss many shows, I think it must only mean that they feel his character is relevant to the storylines. I agree!

A 10 year run on TV is rare and maintaining the quality until the end is rarer. As for drama or legal issues, few creative endeavors are able to avoid them.
I stopped watching when they left. I was watching because of them and knew who they were from Battlestar Galactica and Lost. I felt they lost the dynamic. I never even thought of the show as a buddy show but more of an ensemble of 4 show. CBS... with STD and all these other virtue signaling they do, turns out, they are the the bad ones. They left because they wanted more money. Item left and then he came back. We have the medical examiner who is Asian. The original medical examiner left the show to do Heros show but he has shown up twice this season.

From the beginning Scott acted like this show wasn't going to last for him. One of the first interviews he sounded like he wasn't going to stay or wasn't crazy about it. When Scott start being in the show less, probably being paid the same, I don't blame Daniel and Grace for leaving. I actually liked the show better with less Scott and more Chi. Chi had great chemistry with Alex. Alex was the heart, engine and the ultimate cheerleader of the show.

I’ve started to accept her more as the seasons go on - with each guest appearance - and the with the development and growing maturity of her character. But I couldn’t stand her in season 1 and although I like Taryn Manning in Orange is the New Black, I also agree that she wasn’t the right choice of actress for that role. I’m not too sure who else I would choose but she is an odd choice. Although good at playing the rebellious side of Mary-Ann McGarrett :)
Bear Darazs Taryn Manning - she plays Mary - Steve McGarrett’s sister - she’s only in a few episodes, I think it’s one or two per season but she was meant to be a season regular from season 1 I think and then they basically wrote her character out of the show; to only appear as a guest from time to time.
One of my favorite shows still to this day I used to watch the original Hawaii Five-O when I was a kid but super Steve and dano just bring a whole new spice to it 👍😁🔥
I would really Iove it if H50 will continue for another 2 or 3 seasons. I've been watching this show since the early days it first aired. Alex and Scott, I love their brobance as Steve and Danny. I especially loved the relationship with Gace and Daniel had when they played cousins Chin and Kono and was very sad when I got the news they left the show. However, if the actors are really this unhappy about the island, the pay they received and the concerns about their health. I won't hold it against them if they decide to end the show this season. I'm all looking forward to another season of my favorite fictional task force on the island paradise. But, if there are this many issues with cast and crew, and they continue on like this to a point to where will have to end. Then with a heavy heart, I'd say if S10 is going to be the end because of all this, then at least have it end on a good note. And make it great.

What started out as a mission for Steve to find the people responsible for his parents murder, only to learn that his mother faked her death when Steve was a teen and his father eventually found out but kept it a secret for his children's sake. And as hard as it was, Steve leaving Hawaii again to go and make his own journey was the first step of making that choice on his own. The last time he had to leave Hawaii was when his dad sent Steve and Mary away to the mainland to stay and live with Joe and their aunt Deb, and it wasn't up to them. But now that his mission about his parents are cleared, and that there isn't much left in Hawaii other than Five-0. I think that Steve leaving to find his own way is a good thing despite it being sad. But, at least he has Cathrine by his side.

I could see it, and we even have 50 Friday in which we watch the shows back to back on the Ion network. I used to watch the original show with my grandparents when I was a little girl and I enjoyed it. Now I get to watch the remake with my children and I enjoy the remake just as much. And I love the relationship between Steve and Dano. The chemistry those two actors have seems to be absolutely genuine. I will however say I do miss chin and Kono. I don't particularly care for the new characters they brought I missed the original characters.
Alex O'Loughlin was the first to have a "credit only" for missing an episode. Scott Caan missed 5 episodes per season after the first few seasons. Daniel Dae Kim was in every episode of the first 7 seasons. Grace Park only missed 3 episodes total in the first 7 seasons. A full season after they left, "supporting" actors Daniel Dae Kim & Grace Park had each been in more episodes than one of the "main" cast.

Who knew acting can be like any other job, sign a contract with a stated position and salary, maybe you're doing just as much work as your manager but they get paid more because of contract/position.
They can name and reason they want for paying grace and Daniel less but the reason being that they are supporting roles is bullshit. They were there since episode 1 so you can’t argument with that they became characters of the show later than the other two. Also am I the only one that remembers how like half of the stories plot and drama was being brought by chin ho kelly? First all of the corruption situation, than this gangster, the death of his wife, and later his girlfriend, the problems with his late wife’s gangster brother, and so on. The only other one that had that much importance to the plot was Steve. Plus how can they compare characters like chin ho kelly and kono to supporting roles like kamekona or Dr.bergman or jerry. Those were supportin roles. Sorry I really love this series but paying them less or paying them so much less is not okay.
Tenth season is their final final season. I don't believe Hawaii 5-0 is return for an 11th season ever, especially with talk about Alex's back issues. :(
First of all l am not yelling or screaming, trying to make a point, as l recall in one of the interviews neither Daniel or Grace contracts list them as supporting cast. They seem to have moved on to better pastures and l am happy for them but still miss them.

We don't have a tv service, watch lots of utubes, used to get Net Flix streaming on computers, I was watching Hawaii 5-O,think I got 5 seasons watched, wasn't able to find more, great show.
I'd be glad if Lori came back for at least the last 2 seasons of the show and she gets finally emotionally involved with Steve. I like Cath, but, it seems to me that no other women of the show has showed so a great chemistry with Steve.
Actually Lori was supossed to become Steve's love along the series while Catherine just a relationship from crush to friends. But the actress finally left at the end of season two so they had to rewrite the plot and give more importance to Cath.
Steve and Danny are the main stars. They will always make more. Look at any other show and you see the same thing. For example Big Bang Theory had many stars but Sheldon made the most I believe followed closely by Leonard.

whatever all the behind the scenes crap was, everyone will find something to complain about, there wardrobe, not enough line, their trailer, most of all the pay. it was still a great show.
Everyone is talking about how the show sucks since Grace and Daniel left, but I've gotta disagree. Of course it's changed and the new characters aren't what we're used to, but to go so far as to say they suck is just rude. Meghan and Beulah are great actors that bring their characters to life. And they bring a new kind of spark to the show. Sure Kono and Chin were crucial characters that I absolutely hated to see go, but I like where Hawaii 5-0 has gone with Tani and Junior.
I wanted a 12, 13, 14, ...etc season of the show. It could’ve gone the distance. The on screen chemistry between the characters was perfection. Ummm,but real life has a way of getting in the way of the good stuff 🇨🇦🐙😕🍄

They left because they were paid lower.

I never thought Tarrin was cast right for that role.
I’ve started to accept her more as the seasons go on - with each guest appearance - and the with the development and growing maturity of her character. But I couldn’t stand her in season 1 and although I like Taryn Manning in Orange is the New Black, I also agree that she wasn’t the right choice of actress for that role.
I’m not too sure who else I would choose but she is an odd choice. Although good at playing the rebellious side of Mary-Ann McGarrett :)

Bear Darazs Taryn Manning - she plays Mary - Steve McGarrett’s sister - she’s only in a few episodes, I think it’s one or two per season but she was meant to be a season regular from season 1 I think and then they basically wrote her character out of the show; to only appear as a guest from time to time.

I would really Iove it if H50 will continue for another 2 or 3 seasons. I've been watching this show since the early days it first aired. Alex and Scott, I love their brobance as Steve and Danny. I especially loved the relationship with Gace and Daniel had when they played cousins Chin and Kono and was very sad when I got the news they left the show. However, if the actors are really this unhappy about the island, the pay they received and the concerns about their health. I won't hold it against them if they decide to end the show this season. I'm all looking forward to another season of my favorite fictional task force on the island paradise. But, if there are this many issues with cast and crew, and they continue on like this to a point to where will have to end. Then with a heavy heart, I'd say if S10 is going to be the end because of all this, then at least have it end on a good note. And make it great.

@@zaiah9252 I really liked it. H50 seemed like it came full circle. What started out as a mission for Steve to find the people responsible for his parents murder, only to learn that his mother faked her death when Steve was a teen and his father eventually found out but kept it a secret for his children's sake. And as hard as it was, Steve leaving Hawaii again to go and make his own journey was the first step of making that choice on his own. The last time he had to leave Hawaii was when his dad sent Steve and Mary away to the mainland to stay and live with Joe and their aunt Deb, and it wasn't up to them. But now that his mission about his parents are cleared, and that there isn't much left in Hawaii other than Five-0. I think that Steve leaving to find his own way is a good thing despite it being sad. But, at least he has Cathrine by his side.

I used to watch the original show with my grandparents when I was a little girl and I enjoyed it. Now I get to watch the remake with my children and I enjoy the remake just as much. And I love the relationship between Steve and Dano. The chemistry those two actors have seems to be absolutely genuine. I will however say I do miss chin and Kono. I don't particularly care for the new characters they brought I missed the original characters.

Alex O'Loughlin was the first to have a "credit only" for missing an episode. Scott Caan missed 5 episodes per season after the first few seasons. Daniel Dae Kim was in every episode of the first 7 seasons. Grace Park only missed 3 episodes total in the first 7 seasons. A full season after they left, "supporting" actors Daniel Dae Kim & Grace Park had each been in more episodes than one of the "main" cast.

Integrity-one thing that many people do not possess.
Who knew acting can be like any other job, sign a contract with a stated position and salary, maybe you're doing just as much work as your manager but they get paid more because of contract/position.

They can name and reason they want for paying grace and Daniel less but the reason being that they are supporting roles is bullshit. They were there since episode 1 so you can’t argument with that they became characters of the show later than the other two.
Also am I the only one that remembers how like half of the stories plot and drama was being brought by chin ho kelly? First all of the corruption situation, than this gangster, the death of his wife, and later his girlfriend, the problems with his late wife’s gangster brother, and so on. The only other one that had that much importance to the plot was Steve.
Plus how can they compare characters like chin ho kelly and kono to supporting roles like kamekona or Dr.bergman or jerry. Those were supportin roles. Sorry I really love this series but paying them less or paying them so much less is not okay.

I'd be glad if Lori came back for at least the last 2 seasons of the show and she gets finally emotionally involved with Steve. I like Cath, but, it seems to me that no other women of the show has showed so a great chemistry with Steve.
Actually Lori was supossed to become Steve's love along the series while Catherine just a relationship from crush to friends. But the actress finally left at the end of season two so they had to rewrite the plot and give more importance to Cath.

Everyone is talking about how the show sucks since Grace and Daniel left, but I've gotta disagree. Of course it's changed and the new characters aren't what we're used to, but to go so far as to say they suck is just rude. Meghan and Beulah are great actors that bring their characters to life. And they bring a new kind of spark to the show. Sure Kono and Chin were crucial characters that I absolutely hated to see go, but I like where Hawaii 5-0 has gone with Tani and Junior.
