First heard Vicente about 25 years ago and was blown away. Personally I think he is the best. He has pushed the boundaries of flamenco more than anyone.
I would have never thought to watch an american enjoying with style to some Flamenco music. Im serious man, before RUclips this was something unthinkable
If you see many documentary's and interviews, you'll see that flamenco was reknown worldvide exactly in USA, don't forget, Paco de Lucia went there as a child, before him Sabicas was touring in USA, so, don't be amazed by that, and I'm not american, I'm from Europe !
Now thats some memory making right there! I would love to see some of these Flamenco musician perform at Red Rock in Colorado, it would be such an apt place for this kind of music!
I started with metal but decided flamenco held more passion. 30 years later I'm still trying to play flamenco. (I play jazz guitar for a living) flamenco is a lifetime of practice.
If you get paid to do what you love you never have to work another day in your life! I wish I would have known about Flamenco a lot sooner I think it would have had a big inspiration on my style of playing! Just the little bit I have learned so far has had an impact on my writing!
now is simpler to learn, there is atrafana, luciano ghosn, tu guitarra flamenca, lots of channels on youtube. Just like bebop, really hard to get into if you are not shown a bit. I am trying to learn a bit of both now, love the aspect of improvisation of jazz and swing too, but these guys in flamenco have touch like you would not believe it
Try "Poeta", it's an album by Vicente. And it's a symphony of 40 minutes (flamenco symphony). And if you care about ice skating, try Stephane Lambiel skating to that music, world champion in 2006 btw
That sounds like it would be awesome please feel free to leave a link or any other suggestion I really appreciate it! I have found so much incredible music coming out of Spain you all really have a lot to be proud of!!!
Flamenco is perfect for Metal players, you guys already use similar scales. Vicente is The Beast. Peace! Break the algorithm! It’s demonic haha. Thanks for showing Vicente. You are the man.
Nice reaction. Vicente is my idol haha. I recomend u react for his another musics: "tata" and "vivencias imaginadas" live concert. It was really good i think🎉
Vivencias = ruclips.net/video/ZUppdCKosZM/видео.htmlfeature=shared Its sad, i cant search the good sound quality, also for the tata HQ quality. Idk bc it gone from my YT
Saw him live a few years ago, extraordinary. Words fail really. If you want to hear some great spanish rock, check out Heroes Del Silencio, the biggest spanish rock band ever. Try Entre Dos Tierras.🍻
This composition is amazing, one of many amongst an amazing body of work. Here's another live performance in Seville, when he was joined by El Pele half-way through the concert. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/zuy77TuTYWg/видео.html
In Spain there is not only flamenco, in the north of Spain, especially in Galicia and Asturias, there is a very great influence from the Celtic world and there are very good Celtic music groups.
Here is one of the pieces Vicente is better know for (Callejón de la Luna): ruclips.net/video/KLXHkzpb36I/видео.html Vicente is the more poetic one of the whole bunch, with his distinct crystal clear sound. Many people say he is the successor of Paco de Lucia, but he is also a student of another grand maestro of the flamenco guitar - Manolo Sanlucar.
He is an incredible musician without a doubt some of the best guitar work and skills out there! I have been enjoying learning about him and Flamenco as well as building multiple playlists of Paco and Flamenco and most likely Vicente will have his own playlist very soon! Thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it and look forward to checking it out!!!
Yeah its about time we get some more Vicente Amigo in the playlist! Thank you very much for the suggestion I really appreciate it I look forward to checking it out!
Was actually just looking at some Dire Straits on vinyl havent been keeping up as much as I should! I recently noticed he has a YT channel with a bunch of cool stuff on it... Always like how he creates soundscapes with his music.. Got to see him live on his last tour with Dire Straits years ago, that "Heavy Leaded Fuel" song was pretty big at the time
Wow, thanks! I have been enjoying learning about this music and the people who make it! I have found so many things I never would have found and Flamenco is one that I'm very happy to have found!
@@TheKillogicEffect I think the whole point of your channel is experiencing music other that metal, which I love but do not listen to very much. Since you're so much into flamenco, I would like to suggest some Latin American music. Natalia Lafourcade, is Mexico and Latin America's best singer songwriter. She has performed all over the world and has a beautiful voice. She plays the guitar but is by no means a virtuoso. This song features two senior gutarrists who are really good. Give it a listen. Best regards. ruclips.net/video/ABLT6hdgEek/видео.html Also, here is her NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Enjoy. ruclips.net/video/JODaYjDyjyQ/видео.html
First heard Vicente about 25 years ago and was blown away. Personally I think he is the best. He has pushed the boundaries of flamenco more than anyone.
Absolutely! incredible stuff for sure, I'm looking forward to hearing more and learning more about him!!! What an amazing show that must have been!
I wish Vicente Amigo was more well known outside of the flamenco community. He's a sensational player and composer.
Absolutely! I look forward to learning more about him and I hope I can help bring more attention to him in some small way!!!
@@TheKillogicEffect I recommend you to listen to the Plaza del Cabido from the new Vicente's album. It's a masterpiece
Vicente was a child prodigy and studied with Manolo Sanlucar. Worth checking his work from early nineties too.
vicente the best guitar player in the whole world!!!!
I would have never thought to watch an american enjoying with style to some Flamenco music.

@@edcolins5498 still something extraordinary
Long time fan of Vicente. Saw him in Boulder Colorado in 2002. Absolutely mesmerizing. Went backstage to meet him with my boys.

once Pat Matheny said, ''the greatest guitarist present in the face of earth now is Vicente Amigo""
He is incredible I look forward to learning more about him and adding more from him to the Flamenco playlist we have here on the channel!
He's the best guitarist in the world❤❤

“Dame voz picha”😂
Y ahora, bueno ya hace tiempo, Antonio rey
Check out Tío Arango from Vicente Amigo, its amazing
I will check that out, thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it!
Vincete Amigo A Legend along side Paco De Lucia.

Saludos 🇪🇦
