- One of the coolest things about attending the Big Rock Candy Mountain dirt bike riding event in Canada was getting to meet and ride with one of my idols: Barry Morris of the spectacular @crosstrainingenduro channel. I arrived at camp a day early and had the opportunity to explore some of the local wilderness on Honda dual sports (CRF300L and CRF450RL) with Bari, his brother Jeff, and @TractioneRag filmographer Nick.
This was a chill evening ride on some local forest roads but we still managed to come across a trio of bears, ride some fun forest roads, do a few water crossings, and even discover a recently decommissioned road that has apparently been turned into singletrack?
This was a great warm up to one of the hardest weeks of off road motorcycle riding of my life. Check out the full playlist including 5 days of singletrack awesomeness here: • 5 Days of Dirt Bike Ri...

Pl try aprillia pegaso 650 2002 in extreme conditions like flooded road
Any trail they keep the drunks in side-by-sides out is a good trail in my book!
@@smashy_smasherton Yes, start an 18 inch deep murky water crossing and slide into a three foot deep dual track and flood your motor. No love for 4X4’s going slow and digging tracks.
Barry is a legend. You so lucky to be able to ride with his crew. Looking forward to the complete videos.
That is so cool you got to ride with Barry.
Barry is a DR650 Super Hero!!
DR650 ftw
That is a great looking trail, and the wheelie was spectacular. Looking forward to more footage. Thank you.
Looking forward to the video. Hope you feel better soon
Hell yeah! Barry!
Those crazy Aussies 🦘🍻
You know your going places in life when you get to ride with the Berry!
You are killing it! Great riding.
That tore up trail you were on will be a nice smooth dirt road in a week or two. They use a backhoe or excavator to ditch the rd and dig out where the culverts are going then come back later with a dozer to make it smooth.
Awesome video my friend 👍 Quick question, are all the bikes provided stock, or is the suspension upgraded, etc. Many thanks, Michael
Got myself a 300L a few months ago. Dropped one tooth on the front sproket. Made a big difference in the woods. It can definitely do wheelies. Was getting the front up over wash outs on the trail in 3rd gear yesterday. Was pretty surprised actually. I absolutely love that 300L. Can't believe I didn't get one years ago. I really wish I had trails like you do. I'm up in Northern Jersey. Not much for trails up here unfortunately. Always enjoy the videos you Dork.
I keep seeing different body positions suggested while standing. One place I went to was constantly reminding us to "stick your butts out": so our calves stayed vertical but you were bent over. It meant you didn't really need bar risers because you were over the bars with your arms out wide. But a more common position I see in videos (like this one) is more vertical... where the rider is upright and kinda deciding what peg to weight more to get the bike to gently lean and turn to track the trail. But standing that straight often means you need risers so it doesn't feel like the bars are right down at your waist. I'm still more in the "stay seated so you don't get tired: until you see something where you should get your butt off the seat" mode ;)
Dude I saw the trailer for this today and was pumped all day to watch it. 😀
Nice Jabba the Hutt impression at the end!
I love how you enter those "tank traps" the same way most riders would. The fact that you are not this crazy good rally racers and put riding in the basic rider perspective.
Very nice Dork.
That's what the loggers do when they are done with an area to prevent the 4x4 trucks from accessing the road.
How much sarcasm was used during this visit?😆
Ahh. Wrecked trails and tank traps. Welcome to BC.
If you get out to the East you should come to Tennessee and check out Windrock and Ride Royal Blue
Stand up wheelie!
A Honda 300L is not capable of doing a wheelie. At least not with me on it. No bike is capable of doing a wheelie with me on it.
Same, fam. Same
😂
Any inside word in the IBEX 450 availability
How tall are you? What pant size are you? I'm asking because you look like a bigger guy. I'm 6'6 260 and finding gear that fits is like finding a specific needle in a pile of needles.
Stock 300L? 🙂
After watching you tell me how great the 300L Rally is, I went out and got a 300L Rally. Now I see you on a 300L standard. 🤔 Did I just made a bad purchase? 🙄
Rally is better for multi use/ longer rides. Standard is better for short strictly dirt excursions. Here he is doing very specific and hard single track stuff we’re the 300l is better. It’s simply use case. Neither is better ALL the time. That said 300l rally is fantastic no you wasted no money.
Seen my first bear a few weeks ago :) I was rolling though. Western CT I posted a short if you wanna see.
The "path" early on looks like a bunch of illegal type dumping but at least it's rock/dirt. Yep, looks like they used this place to
scatter of bunch of debris & then used a blade to spread out the small loads? Excess from a large building site somewhere
& someone needed a place to lose all of this stuff? Closer to the start it was dozed/spread out but back in there you can
tell they had a lot of excess from some large excavation, they needed a cheap answer to dispose of it? They'd never block
off a road that Fire Fighters could use in an emergency, I doubt & I've seen this in the US before. Nice place to ride though.
Ok... now do it on a full size ADV bike....
w
Why? its more fun on a 300.
@@airadaimagery692 it’s a joke my dude.
@@TheMotoShaman Oh, sorry. I didn’t get it.
People wheelie on a 300l all day just like Honda grom…if you can’t you simply don’t have the necessary skills….aka all of this guys riding is like watching my 60 year old dad put around on a xr lol
