I'm always impressed by the memory of veteran traders. They're like "In 1973 I bought 100 shares of a company called American Steel when the market bounced in October." And I'm like "I don't even remember what I traded last week."

He pointed out an important tactic of allocating only 1% of the portfolio and gradually buying above the 50 moving average 👍Today I learned something new. Good interview 😎
Right off the bat Bob nails it with the interest rate environment comment. I started in the biz in 1981 but grew up late 1960s - through the 1970s as a teen/young adult and I know exactly what he is talking about.
Thank you Richard and Bob, an excellent interview, very informative, love the simple way of doing things, thanks again guys, definetly one of the top ones!!!
This is the quality of interview I prefer, after 37 years of trading. I would have preferred Richard ask Bob to take us thru the LONGEST trades he held. Or even the ones where he made max returns. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION which Richard "unusually" missed. Also what does Bob accumulate when the stock simply never touches the 50 DMA !!! I love the Trader Lion boys and Ross.
Went to same high school as Bob, just 3 years behind. He was an athletic BMOCampus in school back then, and became a successful BMOC "Big Man On Charts" in his career. Very interesting to see/hear the genesis and reasoning behind his trading methodology. Thanks for this informative interview. Suppose I will have to give up my "dartboard method" now. 😜
