so this is all about the, admittedly convoluted, metaphors. Smooth liquidation / good dividends / touring the facility and picking up slack are all tongue in cheek allusions to sex appeal. It's a heavily camouflaged dirty song tbh😂 the long jacket is just disguise for the fact she's an absolute freak💯
he's being literal with some double entendre. He wants a professional (long jacket) like a Dr, Executive, etc. with an investment portfolio. A woman who is both serious and sexy.

The bass line is straight-up funk. The guitar follows it for the first phrase and then breaks out on it's own thing, then comes back to it.

I feel that it’s likely you will be more familiar with their song ‘The Distance’ that was massive for them.
Most of the time, you don't need to concentrate too much about the lyrics with Cake. They're just quirky and fun. I know you only did the one song, but their cover of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" is awesome.
Their name isn’t about the food, it’s in reference to things becoming built up over time. Like the way mud will cake on your shoes as you keep walking through it, adding more and more layers as time goes on.
If this song was sung by a woman talking about all the things she wants from a man it would make more sense. Cake flips it and asks that the woman he wants is someone with their shit together and is fun, completing the irony of the lyrics, he wants it all like women do.
The lyrics to this song are wild. Check this out: I want a girl with the right allocations (at face value he wants a girl with a good figure. But, you could also take "allocations" as: her finances, her time, her priorities), She is touring the facility and picking up slack (literally, a girl who is cleaning up after him. But, she's "touring" the facility - as in, "during the course of her normal daily routine". It's not forced. it's effortless the way she not only cleans up his "facility" *I think he actually means bathroom - as in, she's willing to do the dirty work* but she's also "cleaning up" his life. She's always just there in the background taking care of things for him. Making his life easier without calling attention to herself or asking for praise. Verse 3 is just a gem start to finish: she wants a car with a cupholder armrest (aka she doesn't want a fancy car. she doesn't care how it looks. she cares about practical things like having somewhere to put her drink. she's sensible not frivolous), She's changing her name from kitty to karen (because karen is a more "traditional" name, she's no longer a rebellious child. He wants a stable, mature woman). and my favorite line: She's trading her MG for a white chrysler Le Baron (an mg is kind of a hip older little sports car - implying that she's got a bit of a wild child bad girl past, but she's giving that up for a Le Baron which is kind of a middle of the road no frills ugly car - she doesn't care what people think about her, she's not putting on a show for anyone and has the confidence to be herself.)
