If you want spooky for oktober, then you should definitly try the Séance from Blackbriar. The song is about ghosts. What more can you ask for "spookyness"? Also I like your style of reacting. I would not change it :)

I concur! And I would rather precise that in The Séance, Zora is acting a woman, neglected by her husband, being a ghost into a seance, frightening all the guests in the house but never being noticed by her husband.

🙏 Oh! Thank you so much for your analysis of Until Eternity ❤❤
It's awesome to me to have it 2 times: one for the reaction and the second with cuts ans analysis 👌
Maybe it only lacks some subtitles that briefly describes what you're thinking during your first watch.
Blackbriar's official fan name is "Thorn" and I'm so proud to be one!
Zora, the singer and co-founder, also writes the lyrics and the main (vocal) melodies, then the music is built by René (the Drummer and other co-founder). It's an unusual creating process, but it makes sense because everything starts from a feeling that Zora wants to share, then she writes lyrics created for that specific goal of conveying that feeling, than the melodies are meant to magnify the lyrics, and then René's music magnifies it again. And they are also directing, shooting, acting, almost all by themselves a music video that tells a story, that is again a way to amplify this original feeling from Zora.
That's what I really think is beautiful with Blackbriar, and that's why out of 44 songs, I don't find absolutely anything bad at all.
You're so very good and respectful at reacting and analysing songs and voices, be thanked once again so sincerely!!
And, yes, definitely The Séance from Blackbriar is a must see for spooky vibes!!!
PS: Sorry for my English is not my first language (DeepL and I are doing our best 😉)

For this song Zora was inspired by The Fallen book series by Lauren Kate. The lead guy in this is the same guy from the arms of the ocean video.
For spookyish I'd say, The Séance or My Soul's Demise.

I don't know the Fallen book. But I'm interested to learn.

I actually like this way of reacting to a music video very much. You have a chance to experience the video.
Many reactors often make it a very bad experience when they pause a lot during the first time watching the video. There is always the posibillity that the reactor isn't the only one seeing the video for the first time, but also the viewers.
And the worst thing is pausing only to avoid blocking. The pausing doesn't do anything against the blocking unless you pause every few seconds, because the RUclips content scanners need only a few seconds to check if it's copyrighted content.

Another fantastic reaction and thank you for returning to Blackbriar. As far as your reaction style, do what makes you happy. I did enjoy your deeper dive into the song and the video as it allows your intelligence and insight to really shine and always enjoy your unique take on songs. I have heard vocal coaches call the technique that Dolores Riordan uses in Zombie as a bleat or machine gun vibrato. That same vocal coach referred to Zora's voice as laryngeal bobbing which I think is the same thing. Another vocal coach called it microtonal melisma, similar to classical Indian singing. I am musically ignorant so I can't comment if I agree (one of the things I love about your channel is the musical knowledge I learn from you). For more creepy Blackbriar The Séance is very perfect or for something newer, My Soul's Demise.

Those tonal trills are very much like Kate Bush's signature style, a singer Zora has cited as a big inspiration IIRC. It adds so much texture to the singing.

For the spooky touch, you missed the target!!!! So you must listen to The Séance and Weakness and lust from Blackbriar. Maybe for a smooth non-metal one, try the song you're Haunting Me. Same band.

My advice or suggestion for how to do reaction videos is find a way that feels natural to you and you enjoy doing. You'll produce your best most enjoyable (for others) content when your enjoying what you're doing and no matter how you choose to do it You'll never please everyone.
What I noticed different about this reaction compared to your previous reactions is you went much more in depth and detailed with your thoughts.
I do have a recommendation I really hope you'll follow. Epica will record the official version of song and on the same album record an alternate version. I hope when you get to those songs you react to both versions of the song in the same video. To get you started I'll suggest the song Cosmic Algorithm (official) and Funky Algorithm (alternate). Also Dancing in a Hurricane (official) and Dancing in a Gypsy Camp (alternate). There's lots more where those 2 pairs come from and all can be found on Epica's official RUclips.

1:02 "..better way to do these reactions". Depends on the song, I guess? With some it's best to vibe 'em out to then add your 2cts afterwards (YT interference/blocking risk notwithstanding). With other songs/performances there's so much going on that you'd lose most of what you wish to say if you don't pause. Lyrics analysis after the song's over works best for me, since I never pay much attention to them during a performance.
Speaking strictly for myself, the best way of you doing reactions also further depends on: music genre, mood I'm in, day ot week, season, world political developments, interest rates.. In other words: you do you. Just enjoy the music and the best way of reacting will come to you naturally & depending on.. circumstances. Ppl don't appreciate it? Well [ beep! ] them, and most of all: don't you ever listen to commenters telling you how to do reactions!
Apart from yours truly oc ;)
Cheers from Amsterdam and ty for embracing BB! 🤘

much appreciated. thanks for the feedback! I am not so worried about being blocked for most of these--half the time I can't monetize it no matter what I do, so I am mostly looking to give both myself and the audience the best experience with each video.

Do your reactions whichever way works for you - I prefer how you do it here, but I'd rather you were as comfortable as possible so you can focus on the music. If you want more Hallowe'en goodness (but not metal), you could look at a Nightmare Before Christmas cover such as Geoff Castellucci's new version of _Jack's_ _Lament_ or VoicePlay's _Oogie_ _Boogie's_ _Song_ (also starring Geoff) - both are excellent (and timely)!
