Don't always agree with Kanell but he is right about why people are talking about the SEC beating up on each other. For years the old Pac12 would do that and it was considered weak, now it's considered strong. For years the SEC had many games that were10-7 and they shouted great defense, now games are 42-38 and they are saying innovative offense. Pure hypocrisy

I’ll tell you. Texas played the teams on their SEC schedule and lost 1 game. Texas beat a Top 10 Michigan and a Top 25 Vandy both in the road. They have the #1 defense and the #6 offense in the country.
UGA has the toughest schedule in the nation . . . if PSU, Miami, Indiana, etc. played UGA's schedule they would have 3-4 losses each. You mention UGA looking bad against against Ole Miss (I agree their offense minus 3 offensive linemen, 3 RBs, and 3 receivers) didn't look good last Saturday, but look at their comeback against Bama (compare that to the Oregon OSU game) and their wins against Clemson and Texas - there is definitely a bias against UGA which kept UGA out of the 4 team CFP last year (Vegas had UGA favored over last year's 4 CFP teams). Also, Kanell has never liked UGA.
The only way Georgia should make the playoffs is if they completely dominate the remainder of their schedule, as well as win the SEC championship game.
@andrewgiegerich8211 I agree. Even if they barely pull out a win in each one, as long as they win the SEC championship game, even after 5 overtimes, they'll be in.
Kannel is a moron. He says PSU didn't look that great vs Ohio St?... It was a one score game vs a top 5 team that included a goal-line stand by OSU very late in the 4th quarter that would have tied the game.
@@bradleysanford7929or just let Georgia play Georgia's schedule and see how many losses they have. 2 and counting.... Why don't we just get rid of all the other teams and conferences and just have the SEC regular season be the playoff, since records don't matter because even if Georgia were to lose to Tennessee there will still be plenty of apologists saying "oh well their 3 losses are better than another teams 1 loss, just look at the schedule". Clemson doesn't look that great. They beat Kentucky by one point. They were getting absolutely destroyed by Bama. Nice comeback effort but still a loss because they dug themselves a 30 pt deficit . Barely beat an awful Mississippi St team and barely pulled away from a bad Florida team on their 3rd string QB and also got dominated by Ole Miss. Ole Miss #11 and Alabama #10 beat Georgia. You can not put the Bulldogs ahead of those two teams so #12 is as high as Georgia can be seeded.

Yes Georgia was soundly Defeated and has not played like a top 10 Team for a while.
That’s the thing smu have a lot of 4 stars and 5 stars that transferred there from teams like Miami and Texas! That’s why the level of play is so even
