    I appreciate you showing the process for this.
    For anyone about to do this job. Get a repair manual that lists torque specs. Last thing you want is your car falling apart while driving.

    Thanks for the video man! I bought a 4WD compass as a winter beater and both rear bearings were shot within 4 months of driving it. Used your video to fix both! And I like your humour lol. “OK BYE”😂

    Got this right from the service manual 77 ft lbs. back nuts, 181 foot lbs. axle nut. D. Moore is correct. Thanks for the hammer advice. My bearing is welded shut to drop link. Tried 3/8-Inch Shake 'n Break Pneumatic Bolt Breaker for air chisel (air hammer). No luck there. Now I'm headed out for my B.F.H.

    I had to replace both rear hubs because the wheel speed sensor clip rusted away causing ABS/ Trac Control issues.

    You were close on the hub bolt torque, 77 ft/lbs. Thanks for the video, Alldata showed it as what you did, but I needed a double check.

    Thanks for posting the video , i couldnt find wheel bearing replacement in the haynes repair book , i forgot sometimes the're made in the hub.
    I've only had one vehicle before that was like that.
    Do the wheels need re aligned after this repair?

    • @aaronwilson9247
      @aaronwilson9247 4 года назад

      does it show the FWD version? If I remember correctly, that rear style hub is different.

    • @lordmaddrox
      @lordmaddrox 4 года назад

      @@aaronwilson9247 i have the 4x4 version , bearing is made in the hub in mine.
      But no the book had no mention of bearing replacement regardless of rwd,fwd or 4x4 , it covers 2007-2017 so it could be a older or newer model your thinkin of , this is my first jeep so i not too well versed in this make.
      I was a chevy guy for the longest time, shoulda stuck with what i know but im likeing my lil jeep so far

      Well incase someone else wanted to know , yes a alignment will be needed after.
      Bout to replace my rear bearing again so seems they last 2 years with everyday driveing (bout 150 miles a day for me)

    I’m in as far as the axel bolt. Can’t get that thing off for nothing! Tips?

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  Год назад

      You might need to put it on the ground with the tire on it, and no center cap. Use some leverage on the nut. The bearing will need to be bolted on the hub when you do it.

    I accidentally broke the clip on the brand new hub for the sensor . Is it absolutely needed?

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  4 года назад

      It needs to be connected, and waterproof. If it still plugs in, and is not waterproof, you could slather some liquid tape on it to seal it. Might be best to exchange the bearing. Best advice I can give.

    PUT SOME GREASE OVER THE SENSOR CLIP OR IT WHILE ROT AWAY IT IS TOO THIN

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  10 месяцев назад

      If you want to grease plastic, you should probably use silicone paste, or a non-petrolium based grease. Plastic is a petrolium product, like regular grease. That's kind of a nono.

      If it's because of the o-ring, put a little lube on it, and turn it back, and forth, while pushing down. It should go right in.
