And for someone who wants to go it even cheaper they can just buy a Non-vvti Ge short block or engine which used the same rods as a GTE and has bigger valve reliefs on the pistons as well as stronger pistons rings than the factory ge vvti engine..then just get a headgasket of your choosing and pair it with arp head studs and slap the ge vvti head on it from the engine already in your car and you have a budget GTE engine that can handle 700whp all for $2,000 or way less depending on where you buy your non-vvti ge from excluding the price you paid for the car.

You should go watch them, it covers everything you need to know about doing to swap so you’re not left in the dark it’s very simple and straight forward but if you miss a step might lead to confusion down the line or possibly even some problems. 0 wiring is required.

I know you can swap out the connecting rods from the SC because they're thicker then the stock GS300 rods and getting dished pistons probably would have been cheaper. I mean 12k on a 5k car to me seems like a waste.
It's embarrassing how many people don't know the difference between the 2jzgte and the 2jzge.... Two DIFFERENT engines! The "T" means turbocharged (twin), along with a completely different head and block and pretty much every single other part, AND lower compression (and different ignition timing), to support the boost. The 2jzge are NATURALLY ASPIRATED, and UNLESS you're ready to swap the head and almost every other part, after modifying the block and oil pan.... you'll be left wondering whether you should've just got the original boosted block instead and could officially call yours a gte instead of a "boosted ge"....The ONLY gs300 that came with the 2jzgte was sold in Japan and NOT in America. Although, you could import it, which is the debate we SHOULD be having....🤙
The Aristo V300 in Japan comes with GTE from the factory. Lexus doesn't, Lexus comes with the GE motor which isn't really a downgrade in my opinion as it's capabilities are pretty crazy😂
