First off thanks for tapping in and watching fam I couldn’t believe it until I watched every car make a pull on the dyno kinda crazy to think about hope this video can help you in anyway if anyone has any questions feel free to message me! God speed!
That metal is cast aluminum…. It gets hot once it’s heat soaked. Put a big torch to it. The lighter isn’t a large enough heat source to make it heat soak. Pretty sure all modern superchargers wouldn’t get hot with a lighter.
Awesome Video Bro…the Numbers don’t lie! I have an engineering background, and this is a cool tech lesson for All the public!!! I Worked on government contracts, in the aerospace business! See, this is why I follow and watch. You are brutally honest about this stuff. Most people would feel the need to defend their car or their products that are on the car. It is nice to see someone who will show the truth. Jake , keep doing what you do!
Glad I saw this video. I've been debating on getting headers for my 500 but I see people making 1000 with the stock manifold. This is a good comparison
Whipple SC Gen 5 & Gen 6 don’t heat soak. After 4-5 hard pulls I can put my hand on the top of the SC. You cannot do that with the OEM SC. I think you would get more power with 1 7/8 headers verses the 2.0. Good video Jake!!! Thanks! Cheers Brother‼️👍👊💪😎🇺🇸
I have been watching a lot of videos on NA stuff and Boosted too.. And it seems like keeping your stock headers and just getting a blower is the way to go.. Especially if you want to pass inspection in NJ every 2 years like I need too.. What I am getting at is I see a lot of people doing header's Intakes and E85.. And when you really dig deep you can see the power you are getting is more from the E85 than it is from the Headers and a cold air with a ported Intake.. It's that Ejuice that is really making the power. The $4000 to $5000 PPL spend on the Headers, Intake, and Cold air, only really nets you like another 30hp to 40hp at best without the E85.. And seriously if you are Not good friends with a good tuner that you can actually call and speak with... Don't Do it To Yourself...
I honestly believe it’s because of the fact that you got 2” headers, which is weird. Most people that are boosted or preparing for boost use 2” headers, but I think you lost too much back pressure, probably woulda picked up if you would’ve gotten 1 7/8”
Seems counterintuitive. Graphs don't lie though. Maybe the headers are over scavenging? Some of the fuel/air charge going out the exhaust. That's the only thing I can think of. Very good info. I'm just a Po Mach 1 boy too.
I'll still take long tubes for the SOUND. The 5.2 Predator should be free to sing. I'm plenty happy with mild bolt-ons...It's such a fast car regardless
@@ItalianStallion410 please do, as soon as I see that notification I watch. I don’t do that with anyone else out there you seriously got something special going on with the channel.
If I wanted my car to reach around 800hp- 825hp, and sound great what mods would you focus on? I saw the video with the exhaust from Canada which sounded deep and almost cammed like. I would like to have my 2 year old in back seat so I don't want him to go deaf lol😂 If you was me, what would you do then for mods? Thanks again
I can tell you for sure on the Whipple Gen5 after a pull or back 2 back get out put your hand on the blower,, stock will burn you= heat soak,, touch the Gen5 it’s cold!!! I mean you can put your face on it. No heat soak, that means way more than the 75hp you spoke of, so heat soak causes detonation, bad news, headers GT500 come with much better factory headers than the GTs because headers make a big diff on my GT Gen5 Whipple. Also on the dyno make sure the DA and temps etc are the same that can make big hp difference too
What was the boost level between the two? How much timing?? With headers you would be running less boost, less stress on the motor That’s a bit of misinformation there saying that headers don’t work……not sure you understand how things work bud
So 2 of the same exact builds same pully same tuner same E85 and one just has headers and shows a little less power how is that miss information I have had 5 different shops message me and said they saw the same results and they don’t recommend headers for GT500… I know how things work I don’t think you can understand it I am also not gonna show all my tuners date that he put into the car so some bum shops can steal it yeah no thanks I am good just trying to save people money but go ahead but headers for your GT500 if you have one and lmk how much more power it makes !!
Right, again What are the boost levels and timing on both……..that’s the only way to truly tell between the two cars Guaranteed the one with headers is running less boost and likely timing making the same power, But yeah, continue on spreading misinformation fella

I wonder what Shorty headers would do! Shortys give you more low end bump. This was great video! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
I wouldn’t have guessed that , long tube headers sure do make those 5.2s sound good though . 🇺🇸💪🏼🐎
