Siskel sounds much better and livelier to me than he did in the episodes immediately preceding the surgery, where it seemed to me like he was in a malaise. I hope that means he was feeling better even if just for a little bit.
ABSOLUTAMENTE...! ABSOLUTELY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY...! GREAT MOVIE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 AND A GREAT TELEVISION SERIES...! THE CIGARETTE SMOKING MAN, THE WELL-MANICURED MAN, CONRAD STRUGHOLD, BRONSCHWEIG, ETC. A GREAT CAST OF NEFARIOUS INDIVIDUALS FOR MULDER AND SCULLY TO BATTLE. DR.KURTZWEIL REMINDED ME OF THE "DEEP THROAT" CHARACTER STARTING IN SEASON ONE...! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
“The songs weren’t good.” Over 2 decades later, “Reflection” & “I’ll Make A Man Out of You” are still among Disney’s most recognizable and popular songs.
Oh come on they’re nowhere near as recognizable as the songs in Beauty & The Beast, Little Mermaid, or even the Color of the Wind song from Pocahontas.
This isn't the first time I've heard of someone who wasn't familiar with the show and whose first experience with it was the movie being enamored with it. As a big X-Files fan the movie is almost an afterthought for me (Currently on a rewatch and just rewatched it, hence I'm here), but seeing it through this sort of lens makes me appreciate it a lot more.
I think that he had a fair point but when he brought up Yentl I was like "Why are you comparing this children's animated movie to an old Barbra Streisand movie?".

I’ve been waiting for The X-Files! Thanks so much for uploading!
Same!

As a hard core X-Phile, I love that one of the last true Two Thumbs Up went to Fight the Future.
Mulan is one of the best, period.
Period
As always, thanks for posting. Great to have Gene back here.
sadly gene dead after that😢😢
Thank you for continuing to upload these episodes. I have fond memories of growing up and watching this show every week with my dad.
First show after the surgery. The beginning of the end.
“The songs weren’t good.”

Well Gene also said Mark Hamill’s Joker voice was not one he liked either. Goes to show, opinions are like assholes. Haha.
Regarding those songs, they are? I wouldn't know them if I heard them right now.

No they are not.
Are they?

Is it just me, or does Gene's review of Mulan not make any sense?
Well he was dying at the time. I found Ebert’s review of the X-Files. He said he liked it then listed a series of faults he felt it had.
@@buckaroobanzai7063 we know he was dying
I was thinking did he just see the same movie we seen?
I think that he had a fair point but when he brought up Yentl I was like "Why are you comparing this children's animated movie to an old Barbra Streisand movie?".
Ya that was kind of awkward to watch. I had to laugh out loud when he was like there's G.I. Jane tho. Really sad stuff
I would love to hear these two rant about what's wrong with each other's chili
The X Files👍🌟🌟🌟
Mulan 👍🌟🌟🌟
ABSOLUTELY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY
CORRECT...!
What a disappointing coverage of Mulan..
"Citizen Kane" hands down.
Siskel sure had a thing for Arielle :)
After 16 years of watching them on RUclips, I still can't stand Siskel!
how many times must i endure a movie where the sexes are obviously switched and no one notices. it's never believable.
