Awesome fight, where the 'quick turn' and 'quick reload' abilities helped a great deal! :-)

Indeed it is! Although for some reason, my fondest memories are with Sea Dogs 1... (modded, of course)
I recommend you try the eras 2 mod for this game
yeah, I wasn't sure on which of those two mods I should give a try but I then decided on GoF. But maybe I'll get bored and play this game again with this mod :P
What does the mod do
how can you deal with the upkeep of such a ship ? or you don`t pay and "hope for the best" or keep the sailors with enough room till they happy :D ?
if you know the best trading routes esp. for high priced stuff (gold, silver!), you'll have more then enough gold!
Selling captured ships can be profitable too: it depends on which of the "Sea Dogs" games you play (this too is actually such a game) and if it'smodded or not.

Fortunately, I got the help of my "abilities" (or that of my officers to be precise) and so turning and reloading is WAY enhanced for some time. BUT: on this difficulty level the AI is more or less cheating anyway, being able to shoot like every second; practically no reload time at all...
fun fight though :-)
How did you complete the Spanish Repulsion at Port Au Prince??? I find it way to hard,, same for the Spanish Evasion at Port Royal for English Questline....
It IS hard; you'll need a decked out Class1 and even then it might get tricky...
@@ytdlder Thanks.... I currently own the Dog of War and the Bluebird. I think I shall sent two fireships at the fleet and just escape...I hope the quest still continues
@@mikafu tbh, I love the idea of having an armada, but it just doesn't pay off. Your own MoW ist enough to sink everything and multiple ships just aren't worth the hassle.
But I think you have to sink those ships, so I wouldn't completely run away, or it won't count
