    Spirlactone seriously changed my life! I highly recommend doing it! I have very similar skin to yours and I think you’re going to see such benefits. Seriously life changing

    Not sure if you have access to Apostrophe in Canada but they have topical spironolactone which cleared up my skin after years of trying to get rid of adult acne - they also have the spironolactone pills if you prefer that and it’s all online! Was definitely a game changer for me :)

    9:45 I've been on Spironolactone for about a month now and it has been the only thing that has helped with cystic acne (and I've tried ev-er-y-thing). Sounds like you have too, I hope it works for you as well.

    I took Spironolactone for about 2 years, it didn’t cure my acne but it did improve it, the main side effect I noticed was when I stopped taking it after about a month, I grew so much body hair! it took a bout a year for my body hair to adjust back to normal, however since you’ve been doing laser hair removal you might not have this problem. Hope it works out for you!

    Tretinoin cream is ALL that cleared up my hormonal acne and kept it clear! You should try if this other med does not work.

    I have been taking spironolactone for 2 years and it is life changing. I was really nervous about taking anything internally for my hormonal acne but after trying everything I finally tried it. That in combination with epiduo has transformed my skin. I am more confident and happy! Wishing you lots of success on your skin journey. Also so glad to see Carla in another vlog. She is such a vibe. So happy her birthday was a success.

    Spironolactone was great for my skin and also for hair growth! It took at least 3 months to notice a difference

    Ive been on spirolactone for over a year, it takes time to work! It can take up to a year to start seeing full effects but you might start noticing a difference 2 to 3 months in. Works slowly but works!

    Once you stop spironolactone, does your acne come back?

    • @stef8517
      @stef8517 2 года назад

      spironolactone doesn't address the root cause of your hormonal issues, it only blocks DHEAS and testosterone. once you stop it unfortunately for most people it comes right back sometimes even worse

    I was given spironolactone 100mg for my pcos cystic acne but they warned against breast tenderness?? So I’m afraid to try them! Weird such a high dose compared to 25mg for first trying, right now I’m on apprilon 40mg which works okay but you have to stay on it otherwise the acne comes back even after 1 week :(
    Also, for hair extensions, I go to isalon in Yaletown, try them out if you’re in a pinch! I know the feeling of wanting nice, long hair

  • @brookevanderkooi1396
    @brookevanderkooi1396 2 года назад

    I also have PCOS and spironolactone is the only thing that has worked for me. They started me on 50 mg which didn’t completely work but I’m now on 75mg and it’s so much better. I’d say I noticed a difference around 2-3 months. Hopefully it works for you as well :)
    Also, Hoping I get to run into you at Stampede hahaha

    I get hormonal acne as well and I got so fed up so finally tried a recommended face wash and it actually has been helping a ton. Definitely worth a shot! It’s the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Facial Cleanser and I found it on Amazon but I’m sure it’s other places as well.

    I tried spironolactone twice and quit both times because it messed with my stomach. I want to try again though & see if it helps if I actually stay on it for longer than a few months. Hopefully it works for you!

    I’ve been on Spironolactone for almost 3 years now and it completely cleared up skin. I also tried so many other medications and nothing worked! I had the exact same, bad break outs here and there and now I get the odd small spot every 2 months. No side effects either!! Definitely give it a try ❤️ xx

    Love your vlogs! Your meals looked so yummy 😋 im excited for you that you get to try the medication for your skin! 🤍 I've always had the exact same issues no matter which supplements, diet etc. I was on doxy for almost two years and my skin was so clear and I noticed how much my confidence improved and just made me happier! Now I'm thinking of going back on it because acne really messes with my mental health 😕
    Also happy birthday Carla!! 💕🥳
