The only thing that peeves me just a little is the 4 saddle bridge on this bass. It needs to have a 2-saddle string-thru-the-body bridge that came on these early Precisions until 1957. Other than that, this instrument sounds good and has that vintage vibe going for it. Nice presentation, Morten . . .
For those of us who can't get our hands on the various Nash bass models, could you comment on your experiences playing the different models PB52, PB57, PB63 etc...are there things that you wouldn't be able to accomplish with any particular model, any stand-out reasons for choosing one over the other in your opinion. Does one model suit your style and preferences more favorably and why? Thank you!
As a guitar player since 1975, I have had a bass or two along the way. It is time again. I am looking at a mid 70s Fender precision, but I am very much looking at a blonde Nash PB 52. What to do.
I think de_dongle didn't mean fret buzz... I can hear some noise from PA system when he's playing bass not when he's talking. Anyway, what a cool bass!
That's the 51P single coil for you, lol. I have a 51P reissue with a Bare Knuckle pickup and you can anyway tame the hum depending on what you have around (don't face the amp up close) and the settings. It's quite pronounced here, but it's also down to amp/mic/D.I., etc...
I just bought a butterscotch Nash 52 with light relic. The bass screams, "put some Labella flats on me!"
Man, you must be happy :-) yeah I would put flatwounds on as well
Wow what a nice Bass

It’s a telecaster vibe, not precision.
What’s the name of that tune your playing? Great playing!!!
.
Sounds huge !!!

Very Nice
Great bass
Do they make basses that they don't beat up ?
They have an ultralight finish option, still relic'd but not obviously so with huge chunks missing etc.
I used chromes with mine then ernie ball flats. Chrome edge towards low mids, eb towards high mids

I ended up finding a 1968 tele bass body on reverb. I gave it some love, a neck, and fender parts.
Yo! What's the scale length on this beauty?
I believe it was 34"
Coisa linda!!
Haha on your first word, I knew you were Danish! Nothing on your English by any means, I just love a good Danish accent.
Sure aren't many nash bass for sale online, used or in stores.
They're a reasonably small shop in terms of guitar manufacturers and normally sell quickly, i had to wait close to 8 months for my jb63
@@Adam666... I see, good to know if i want one its gonna be wait

je nach pickup ist der squire auch nicht schlecht!?? hört mal rein ....
I'd suggest never to record with a camera placed on top of a bass amp!
It can't handle it ;)
But it looks awesome! :D
That buzz though...
easy fix
Are you kidding LUV THE BUZZ it's part of that stinky old school tone that cuts through the mix

Sorry, but I don't think the relic looks good. Sounds ok but the original sounds way better.
