What an absolutely incredible movie, I must have watched it atleast 20 times in different theatres when it came out in 1982.... I was just around 12 years old back then 🙂and the movie captured my imagination even at a tender age. It is pure work of art. And Jayaprada's beauty is indeed divine and Kamal Hasan was in his purest element.

I have seen this movie several times..I want my children to watch this to understand what true emotions are but they can't appreciate this. They only want to watch the horrible English plays on Netflix. The feelings that one gets from watching this kind of movie is very precious. The present generation are unfortunate.
The movies which are directed with great passion and intent do have such kind of emotions even if they are directed by English , french, Tamil Malayalam etc...Even when you consider a sitcom called friends they will acquire values such as loyalty , friendship and love . U can't simply give biased judgement based on some preconceived notions of your favourite films

Director Vishwanath had a great talent! He was able to successfully mirror the society as it existed at a particular point of time in such a way, that each one of us that saw the movie, definitely saw himself or herself/completely identified himself or herself with a/the situation, the actor, the scene, the lyrics or the music...to the extent that he saw himself or herself on the screen, playing a particular character in the movie..That is the the reason why his movie creations are real masterpieces... do reflect on that....
