Unfortunately, RUclips puts a lot of ads on this video by the time I get to listen to it, it’s broken up every 30 seconds or so.
We are trying to find a resolution to this issue in the meanwhile bethel.tv has sermons posted there ad free and you can listen to them for free.
@@Bethel_Online Thanks! I knew it wasn’t your fault or anything. :)
@@aaronpriest2212 Thank you for your graciousness.
I’d like to see a few more camera movements and the cuts are too far apart.
I personally don't like the blaring electronic sound. At the Asbury Revival they had an old time piano and a few guitars. A small time local praise band. It felt sincere and home grown. You could hear your neighbor sing, and yourself. The delicate intimacy is part of what drew tens of thousands of people. This blast of electronic amplification loses the human quality for me. Too manufactured to work for me.
I am not suggesting that people stop doing what they have been doing, because they are reaching people. What I am saying is that for those who will be trying to bring the Asbury experience to their worships, I hope they notice what was unique at Asbury that is going global, while the things we have been doing did not attract people like the Asbury experience is attracting people.
Asbury is not just the same thing we have been doing on steroids. The Holy Spirit came to Asbury in humility and tenderness. Not as an over-amplified rock concert of which there are already plenty in the world.
Isn’t it wonderful that there’s such variety of music for all of us. We can just push a button to turn off what we don’t like and not have to listen or criticize.
@@myraoldham3098 Yes, it's wonderful that there is something to reach everybody. I was not criticizing. I was just saying what works for me personally. I think it is healthy for people to want to understand who is being reached and who is not. That's why they have comment sections. And I was trying to get the Bethel movement to notice that something unique is working at Asbury.
I would have felt better if you had told me how the loud music reaches you, rather than accusing me of being a critic. But your reaction was to be expected from Fundamentalists who believe "Me saved. Others are sinners (critics)"
I will share more of what I think: The Asbury experience is something very different from what has been offered. What has already been offered has it's followers, but Asbury is supplying a human need and that's why people are trying to duplicate it around the world.
In my opinion the Bethel encounter video above is antagonistic to how the Holy Spirit worked at Asbury, and I am worried that movements like Bethel are not going to pay attention to how the Holy Spirit worked at Asbury, and they will hijack the potential global revival and kill it.
Something to think about! I know you love Jesus. Blessings on you!
They didn’t have a real piano player and a few guitars on the day of Pentecost. The lord still moved. God is still moving now!!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance, Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet, Praise Him with the psaltery and harp; Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Just Praise him!
@@2malo Amen! I agree Joel! I am going to edit my original post and add to it.
Leaders from Bethel went to Asbury and spoke of their experience - glowingly - it is such a beautiful thing to see God move in so many expressions. The humility of the leaders in Asbury is inspiring
