I have an old cassette of a show that I need to digitalize before I can hopefully upload it to RUclips. When I lived in Berkeley, Reconstruction would play incredible sets till 2 a.m. for all of seven bucks. This was late 70s, early 80s, and Garcia really honed his chops during this period to play in a band of jazz and blues heavyweights. Most nights they would, as Letterman used to put it, "blow the roof off of the dump" - which of course the Keystone was, but they had unbelievable shows in this little beer dive - John Mayall with Mick Taylor and John McVie, Elvin Bishop, Bobby and the Midnights, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, The Four Tops; the list goes on and on.
