@@danneltheflannel Depends on the constraints of the duel. From what the movie has told us, it's fight to the death, or until yield. No time involved.
There is a historical precedent of challenges/games/duels lasting as long as they needed to. not necessarily limited to time.
Ex: Priscus vs Verus in Roman Coliseum. Most gladiator fights are minutes, this one was several hours.

Not only that he's a pretty damn good actor. Check a movie called: A message from the king. I think that's the title anyway. He plays an African man looking for his sister who had moved to America. It's amazing and really shows just how much range he has. Its amazing and I 100 % recommend checking it out.

@@cheeseburger7784 When people or doctors find you have a disability or cancer the forbid anyone from doing extreme activities or overexerting themselves so they would have prevented him ever being black panther or avengers endgame. I know because I have autism and another disability that if I didnt believe in the impossible I couldn't achieve what i can really do or any career.

I'm truly amazed at how Chadwick Boseman completed this movie, you never in your wildest imagination get a hint while watching that the guy was filming this while battling cancer. I have seen people battling cancer (and like all those like me who have been a witness to a person battling cancer will agree) that the patient actually suffers a lot. A massive amount of respect for CB for not only battling it, but also for successfully hiding it from the world, that too, being in public eye always.

I will declare unironically that this is my favorite MCU film. Why is that, you may wonder? Well, so many reasons:
1. One of the best comic-book film villians of all time played by a great actor and with genuine intentions but a misguided way of seeing them through.
2. It's one of those rare MCU films where real-world issues are heavily integrated into its story in similar fashion to The Winter Soldier or Iron Man 1.
3. Bathos is almost nonexistent in this film. None of the huge dramatic moments are undermined by a desperate attempt to make a joke. No jokes when Zuri tells T'Challa what happened to his uncle (seriously, what were the makers of Shang-Chi and Ant-Man and the Wasp thinking?)
4. The women in the film are actually strong characters. While in many MCU films women get fridged or are two-dimensional love interests, Shuri, Nakia, Ramonda, and Okoye actually have so much agency, get involved in so much of the action, and all have distinctive personalities and beliefs.
5. Not just the women, but all of the supporting characters are memorable. From Klaue, to M'Baku, to W'Kabi, they all stand out for their own reasons and never in a way that hurts the film.
6. There's an actual distinctive visual style, with great cinematography by Rachel Morrison and an eye-catching color pallete of black, blue, and gold.
7. There's actually a memorable score that I can remember and hum to whenever it comes to mind.
8. And this is mainly personal, but this is a great example of a (fictional, but still) African culture being given positive representation in Western media. In a world where the Western Hemisphere still views the African continent as being nothing but a place filled with war, poverty, and disease, it's time that was changed and more people living outside the continent learns to see not just the bad, but the good as well (a lot of African countries rank higher than America on the UN's annual Global Peace Index for starters).
9. It's one of the only MCU films you can freely enjoy without having to see the others (Iron Man 1, Guardians 1 and 2 also fit into this category).

@Luc Germain I’ve been reviewing film scores since the 90s. I’m plenty aware of the history of the craft (scored some films myself). Black Panther was a very well constructed and executed score by today’s standards. I’m not going to compare it to the seminal work of Herrmann, North, Williams, Goldsmith, Rosza, korngold, etc etc.
Black panther is a Perfect
Except that last battle between Killmonger(I hope this is the right spelling) and Black Panther A.K.A T'Challa(R.I.P Chadwick Boseman) as the VFX teams didn't get much time on improvising on it and maybe it would have required 6 more months to better polish it.

Gotta love the battle of philosophy here. You got half of Wakanda fighting with Killmonger because he’s the king and they’re loyal to the king. And the other half fighting with T’Challa because he stands for the right thing.
Also technically the challenge was never completed as Tchalla never died and never yielded.
What you said was true but there was also a true loophole and legal dispute over who was actually king at that point, even though it was assumed until then Killmonger won the challenge.
