    Do you use an ND filter for Photography? If so, what one are you using?

      There is a filter with two rings: one to control ND, second to control CP

    Yes, try shooting F1.8 with a camera that only does 1/4000 shutter speed on a sunny day, you need a var nd filter..

      @@kk-qu1zc Well I only have a few cameras, Canon R3, R7 ,R6 Nikon d4s, Nikon d500, Sony a9 ver1 and a old pocket camera Sony a6000. my point was made above dumbass... if you only have a cam that does 1/4000 shutter speed and you want to shoot wide open in bright sun you'll probably need a filter. Maybe you should stop running your little keyboard muscles and actually go out and earn money shooting some pics.

      @@HaiTomVlog I did. B+W. Even B+W are not all good with flares. 010 is superior over 007. URTH is sold by BestBuy. I never saw they sell anything else. I actually tried it in this store. The flares created so much ghosting that image was unusable at all. So if you always shoot with sun/source of light behind you, you'll never have a problem. I tried to shoot video with B+W 007 at night street, the lantern lights created really bad flares. I can't imaging how much flares URTH would create under same conditions. B+W 010 reduced the flares to practically none.

  • @DanielsBrew
    @DanielsBrew 11 месяцев назад +1

    Hi Anthony - great video! Quick question, with a step up ring, doesn't that mean that the original lens cover won't fit since the cover thread size matches the original lens size? In that case, do you buy an extra lens cover that matches the step up ring?

    • @AnthonyGugliotta
      @AnthonyGugliotta  11 месяцев назад +3

      Great question. The original lens cap will not fit. If your ND filter doesn't come with a cap, you can get a universal cap like these: geni.us/0Bvx

    Anthony, enjoy your videos and shorts. Dumb question time, when you use a Variable ND filter do you remove the UV filter or just add the VND to the front on UV. (Hopefully not too dumb of a question, lol)

    • @AnthonyGugliotta
      @AnthonyGugliotta  11 месяцев назад +5

      Great question. I remove the UV filter, especially if it's a wide-angle lens. If you stack too many filters it can cause a vignette (a dark circle) to appear around the edge of your images!

    ND can also allow you to shoot off camera flash without going into High Speed Sync.
