I don’t think people actually realise this, but Thorpe Park actually has a really solid selection of rides and I think this top 10 really proved that. Stealth is my no. 1 there, and project Exodus looks absolutely mental it will change the lineup forever 🤞

I'm usually a fan of Saw but I rode it last year and it was rough, so it's good to hear they've sorted that out this year. (Don't think that's possible for colossus unfortunately) Hopefully get a chance to go this year and see for myself, never tried derren brown so hope to give that a try too
Just come back from thorpe park today and yesterday, I can confirm that colossus left me with a horrible headache yesterday, and saw the ride is running like a dream. I was unable to go on any more rides yesterday because of colossus, did every ride except colossus twice today with no headache.
I've only been once, really hoping to go back soon but it is a bit a trek from up north but my top 3 were... 1. Stealth 2. Nemesis Inferno 3. Saw (I did go on it when it was fairly new!) I went just before Swarm was built!

I went to Alton Towers today, going to Chessington tomorrow, and Thorpe in two days. When I go to Thorpe for the first time this year I’ll see if my mind has changed and if our lists are similar. Great vid as always Dan keep up the hard work 👍!
I used to live in Surrey, I had a training day from my old job in one of the buildings in the park, and after our training, once the park had closed, they opened up their new ride which at the time was Swarm, for unlimited rides for as long as we could bear it. I went on that ride 8 times before they decided enough was enough and they had to close... If it had been any other ride i would have felt horrendously ill.. With Swarm, it was just the most enjoyable experience. Swarm from Thorpe Park, and what was once Air in Alton Towers will always hold dear memories for me.
Swarm was my number 1 but since riding on flying fish it completely shuved the swarm out if it. It's very intense with its max speed of 10 mph with it's very head chopping head chopper. But the helixs are what make it. You enter the helix at 1.8 mph and it's quite forceful. That's what makes flying fish the most thrilling in the park
I remember going on Tidal wave for the first time and I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket so after getting off from the ride I found out I had water inside my phone. The ride is very fun but now I always remember to not bring my phone near it
My ranking out of the main 5 coasters 5) colossus - there’s so many maintenance issues and people are constantly taken on and off. Stood at the front of the que for a good 25 minutes while they fiddled around with the harnesses which you know kind of scared legit everyone in the station. Also it’s really rough and left me with a head ache. 4) Stealth - overall is an amazing ride and really thrilling, it’s just I have really sensitive ears so they hurt and pop every time because of the height, speed and pressure. If I didn’t have that issue would definitely be higher. 3) Saw - fun ride, good theming, the soundtrack is iconic and is just overall great. I do prefer riding at the back tho cause for the some reason the front is a lot rougher. 2) Swarm - by far the smoothest ride. Amazing theming in the whole area. One my absolute favourites of all time and I love being on the outside of the track, overhanging. Also being at the front is really fun and I prefer the left side as you’re upside down longer. 1) Nemesis inferno - idk why this is my favourite but it is. I love hanging from the track and the theming of the volcano is really cool. The front is a great experience and worth queuing for. The back is also really fun cause you get pulled over the loop. That’s my ranking (with my opinions as well) ☺️
my unpopular thorpe opinion - stealth is one of the worst rides of the big 6 at thorpe - idk the long wait time and super short ride time seem to not sit well with me - open for discussion in the comments though!

That’s completely fine! If you wanted to work your way up to more thrilling rollercoasters, maybe start with the likes of Legoland or Chessington, and move your way on to Alton Towers. Both Chessington and Legoland have similar family rollercoasters to Paultons 😄
I went to Thorpe park a few days ago. Absolutely brilliant! We went on the biggest rides, though I skipped rides such as walking dead and the water rides - not a fan of those. I’d definitely say Saw was my favourite, the drops were incredible and I went on it twice, as well as Stealth which is definitely my no 3 after Saw and Swarm. However, my admiration goes all the way to Swarm. From the design of the carts, the story behind it, the incredible theme and dedication to such in the surroundings (fallen plane, billboard you fly through) and starting area (the church), including the ride itself! You definitely feel like a swarm of alien machines flying about destroying humanity. Haha - that sounds a bit darker than I intended. Additionally, this probably isn’t related to swarm, on those speakers (which I believe are way too loud to be healthy for your ears) when they do those fake little radio shows, there was this guy talking to his doctor about cream he’d prescribed to him, no more rashes, blah blah. After that, they got this woman on who was talking about how these 20 thousand year old aliens had re-emerged to destroy humanity. Immediately, I linked it back to swarm that I had previously gone on. Don’t know if I was just getting excited, or there actually is a link. Anyway, had an incredible time, and would definitely place Saw, Swarm and Stealth as my top 3. Thank you for anyone who has read through my crazy antics, and have a good day! I’d you do go to Thorpe park in the future, have fun and please check out Swarm!
As great as Alton Towers is, the ride collection there is based solely around it's coasters, which makes me appreciate this park's wide variety of both flat rides and coasters. I haven't had the opportunity to get on some of the flat rides yet, but the ones I have been able to get on were really solid. That being said, the coasters were my favourite part of this park, although not by nearly as much as Alton Towers' coasters were my favourite part of that park, because Towers is literally all coasters (and Hex). Like, Dark Forest literally only has two coasters in it and that's it (and no, I don't count the Retro Squad because who the hell pays 40 quid to go to a theme park and thinks 'oOh LeTs gO oN tHe fAiRGrOuNd RiDEs), but is a lot more defined than Thorpe's vague mix of areas so we give it a pass. Plus Rita is criminally underrated, but I digress. Also this park has the number 1 objective rollercoaster in the UK, that being Saw, so what's not to like? Anyways, good list bro
I got a really bad ride on stealth one time, it felt like I had my spine crushed by the force of going up. It would 3rd to last for me it may be really fast (fastest in the UK) but it is over just like that and Velocicoaster at universal has the exact same start with the launch and drop but after that it goes into loops and inversions then back into the station. Overall I think that If some one else made a faster ride than stealth, stealth would become like Rita rubbish and slow.
I've never understood people saying Saw is rough as I absolutely love it and have never had a bad ride. I think Swarm is overrated... but I still love it nonetheless.

Honestly Saw is running amazingly, as is Derren (when it works 😂)! Definitely get yourself down to try it! 🔥

I went to Thorpe yesterday and saw project exodus now Hyperia. It’s freaking amazing. Can’t wait to go on it

I dont mind colossus I much prefer it to saw but the new version at flamingo land will be so much better with lap bars
I got a really bad ride on stealth one time, it felt like I had my spine crushed by the force of going up. It would 3rd to last for me it may be really fast (fastest in the UK) but it is over just like that and Velocicoaster at universal has the exact same start with the launch and drop but after that it goes into loops and inversions then back into the station. Overall I think that If some one else made a faster ride than stealth, stealth would become like Rita rubbish and slow.
I've never understood people saying Saw is rough as I absolutely love it and have never had a bad ride. I think Swarm is overrated... but I still love it nonetheless.

honestly in my opinion saw is my favourite as the themeijg is amazing and the outside drop is just perfect

I personally would love rush more if it had a longer cycle! It would rank 11th in this list though, just missed out! 🔥
@@DigitalDan I guess that’s fair. But then other rides like vortex I’d still rank above just because it’s more thrilling than a kids coaster themed to a horror series. That’s my opinion I guess.

omg i went to thorpe park for fright nights once with my friend group, we decided to go on samurai twice in a row.. worst idea i felt so sick afterwards 😂😭 then after went straight to saw and somehow colossus was on a 5 min queue after that too. never going on samurai again… atleast not for a while

Travelled 200 miles to do thorpe Park for my sons 16th birthday.. Good weekend but in my opinion alton towers is still the best
