Those men are INCREDIBLY smart, and even if they weren’t, it doesn’t take a genius to recognize when someone is passively insulting you. Those are grown ass men, like what would make you think that their group would get into it with anyone else’s “posse”? I know it was a joke but it definitely stemmed from a place of racism. Diluted Royal Ok all you people need to stop crying racism and prejudice unless you can fucking prove it's actually there. Maaaaybe most of the people in the crowd had never heard the song and had the same reaction that I did which was, "Really... A song called it's hard out there for a pimp won an Oscar.. Really.." I mean it just sounds like it's some typical rap song. It's actually a pretty good rap song but personally I don't think it's oscar worthy. I mean this is the oscars we're talking about, a better song should have won. In its defense though the other songs weren't great songs either so I feel like the award probably could have gone to either of them. Also I'm sure the crotchety old people in the crowd just didn't like the way they were dressed but that doesn't mean they're racists. Also Elvis Presley grew up like two blocks away from where 36 Mafia grew up so you can't say that you couldn't grow up any other way than they did.

    • @NyQuilDonut
      @NyQuilDonut 10 лет назад +6

      lasoogneypubes And after I looked at the lyrics this song is pretty much a typical rap song at least lyrically. I think the music itself is above typical rap songs but the lyrics are typical bragging about hustling. The streets are hard but instead of just moving away or trying hard to get a good job I guess it makes more sense to sell hookers. And it's not even like he's saying that that's what he has to do to get by, he's just trying to get rich before he leaves the ghetto. Not a very deep song. Again probably better than the other two songs but still not even close to Oscar worthy. The Oscars aren't about music though after all so the amount of music entries are going to be very few.

Because they used profanity , or they didn't dress in suits. They were stuck up and stuff. They actually THANKED GOD . ? Who indeed helped them with his almighty power. If you listen to the song. Understand it. People will just listen to it. And say it's stupid. It's not stupid. It has a message like any other song. It conveys it behind other things. Try to understand it!
