The bear had been abandoned by its mother. It was already emaciated, and didn't have even enough fat on it to even make through the Alaskan winter. And no it couldn't be rehabilitated either, so that's why it had to be euthanized. You should be ashamed for wanting them to keep the poor cub alive when its health would have continued to deteriorate, and be miserable. Putting that cub down was the most humane thing they could have done.
