    I didn’t have to remove the entire light housing to change the bulb. 😊

      Yup not necessary but it's a little trickier with the short cables, so it's more not to rip a cable

    You don't need to remove the housing!

    • @Striker50_
      @Striker50_  8 месяцев назад

      Agreed, not necessary, but does make the job easier to remove the tail light. Takes about 2 minutes max and gives more space to work with.
      Notice the turn signal bulb on the top has less space to pull out since it's blocked by the felt trunk liner, and rubber tail light trim.
      To avoid chance of breaking bulb, or damaging yellow cables, I decided to remove the tail light. Also did it this way for people that are looking to replace the tail light entirely. 3 birds with 1 stone

    • @Striker50_

      The red light on the trunk lid is an accessory light that helps illuminate the rear of your car at night.

    I tried mine today and took off the 3 nuts and removed the power but couldn’t get the light out. Does it take a lot of strength to remove or does my 2014 kia optima possibly have an extra bolt?

    • @Striker50_
      @Striker50_  6 месяцев назад +1

      Make sure you have dry hands, with one hand, you can put it on the side of the outer tail light pulling back towards you, and with your other hand, try pushing out from the inside of the trunk. It could just be that it is snug in the black socket that is in the outer part of the tail light. This is a 2014 as well so it should be the same exact process
      Let me know if that works or not
