My wife and I visited in 1989 and at that time the pyramid could be climbed if you had the nerve. With its short steps ( common to every structure there ) it wasn't easy and once at the top you found yourself in a small plain little room. Going back down was the real challenge even with a rope to hold on to. My wife went back down backwards one step at a time. If not careful one could easily tumble down the steps as I guess some did. The view from the top was impressive. The temp and humidity that day was 100 degrees with almost no shade anywhere. It was a brilliant experience and a very long day.
Chichén Itzá is one of the new seven wonders of the world, and one of the most popular destinations in the Yucatan Peninsula and Mexico. The Mayan site is definitely worth a visit.
i must have missed the city outside. I just remember the bus ride was through a bunch of third world looking villages and then when we got to chichen itza there were like 50 army dudes with assult rifles guarding it.
Actually...were selling a Cancun package, which is 80% discount all inclusive vacation. I can really tell that this is our most top tourist destination, and also our Cancun Underwater Museum, Xcaret, Cenotes and Coba.
I went on March 13 and we didn’t get no ear piece nor bottle water nor beer ! And we went to the cenotes first and the the pyramid I’m going next year I hope they provide this !!! N we got experiensias xcaret bus
What time of the year did you go? And how much and who did you tip during the tour? This will be my first time traveling international. So many unknowns. Don't want to be a bad tourist.
Ok I just watched all your videos with Xcaret. I’m Convinced and going to Book. I just want to confirm that all the parks and the excursions are included in the price purchased for The hotel. Dude it’s $600 a night I just want To make Sure lol 😅
So, what's the point of the video, to make an ad of xcaret? Didn't even watched it till the end... It was enough to hear the wrongly described rules of the game to realize how bad the tour is.

Nice video, went here in 2001, at that time you could still go inside the pyramid and climb it. I can't believe they used to allow it.

Wow so beautiful ❤️ I went to go now 😍
I had fish prepared on the beach here after a day of offshore fishing. Rough day at sea. 🎵🌌⏳. Was in Cancun 30 years ago.
The pyramid is actually called el Castillo which means the castle ! Fun fact it has 365 step which is also the number of days in a year .
Thanks for Video.
We going in 5.02 .2020.
We can't wait that time.

I did the Tulum Ruins a couple weeks ago, I should've chose Chichen Itza instead!!!
Ya, me too. But I think they were closed the couple of days I was near.
Tulum is beautiful in its own right, I’m glad we went to both places
i don’t know if i should watch this video & spoil the first sight experience or continue to watch for informational purposes
I’m watching. I’m going tomorrow morning!
Brought back some beautiful Sterling silver jewelry. My ex-husband got food poisoning in Cancun. 😂🌹27🌹
I went there not to long ago
Can you enter to that cenote?
When I went back in 2016 we were able to get into the cenote I’m pretty sure you can still do that well I hope so
Literally daddy.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider brought me here...

Fast forward to 2:07 to skip the bullshit
The word of "Chichen" looks like chicken
I don't think it is a wonder of the world.
