Over 400 people entered to win the XVive U4 system, and the winner is: @allendesomer Thanks for entering everyone. Hope you all are staying busy! I have 4 shows this week, and then things finally start to slow down for the winter. See you next week! Also, scammers have shown up on the comments. See the grey outline behind my name AND the checkmark? That’s how you knows it’s me. Please have enough common sense to know that an account named “scottsgifts54” or whatever is a scammer trying to take money from you. I say it in every video…. I’ll NEVER ask you for money.
I’m FoH at a venue that emerging acts play, and I recommend this company’s wireless IEM products for performers who need the mobility in an entry-level system exclusively. They work really well in most situations these acts are playing, and when 10:40 they trade up, get appropriate value reselling them.
For those that don't like the transmitter hanging off the guitar, just get a 1' female to male 1/4" cable and hang the transmitter on your strap. That's what I did. I've only had trouble with my Xvive U4 once in 2 years. I started playing a set at a fair and I kept getting static with music and thought it was picking up radio. I changed the channel between songs and realized why. Every other channel had the mix from the 6 piece bluegrass band playing the smaller stage 70' away that was also using U4's and one channel was competing with mine. Moved the transmitter in front of my rig to break line of sight and it was fine. That's been the only issue my amigo the devil gave me.
Xvive really seems to be the brand that consistently makes good cost-effective gear. I’ve been eyeing the U4 for a while as a wireless option for solo acoustic gigs. Now that guitar wireless seems like the perfect backup for my Shure system. Thanks for sharing this all Scott, and a special shoutout to Amigo the Devil.
We use their U4 in-ear system at every gig. It sounds terrific and never fails. I use two transmitters with four receivers. Great value. Built like a tank too. And I have been using the PX wired system as I'm the drummer. I run the click into one wire, the cues into one wire, and the whole band into the third wire. All run straight out of the Presonus 32r mixer. Works great. These guys get it right. Useful, affordable, reliable. Amigo the Devil rocks.
Been using the U4 system for almost 2 years now and it has work pretty well... we did experience drop outs with the units on a few occasions. Pros: they work and they are affordable Cons: they can drop out and band members forget to charge them before the next show, limited amount of channels I "upgraded" mostly because I'm tired of my other band members forgetting to charge their u4s... Now I run/own the IEM rig and charge all the batteries and carry spare batteries now... additionally the upgraded unit has way more then the 6 channels but these will still be used for rehearsals or perhaps smaller gigs where we don't need the big rig... amigo the devil
Always appreciate the gear reviews Scott! Especially how you road test them by playing out, not just studio tests. Thanks for the heads up about Amigo the Devil, I'll check him out!
Thank you! I appreciate that. I finally worked with an editor for this one, and he did a great job! My schedule is getting too busy, so I’m glad I have someone to help with it. 🤘

Excellent video, Scott. Already a fan of the XVive gear, and use the U2 guitar wireless. Probably need to upgrade to the new 5.8GHz system though. Considering the P1 as well for a condenser mic. And the stand looks interesting too. Always find new gear to covet on your videos; thanks--I think... Oh, and Amigo the Devil.
Nice! And yeah they make some great gear. I always suggest having two of those plug and play wireless on different frequencies. So if 2.4Ghz is crowded, you can switch to the A58 at a show 🤘
