Anar Anar is an unfortunate off-shoot of the original Bhatyali gat that Vilayat Khan Sahib had composed 60 years ago. Rais Khan had started playing Anar Anar to avoid playing Bhatyali (due to his rivalry and bad blood with Vk), and since then it has become a fashion with sitarists to follow in Rais Khan's footsteps. This tune is riven with bidaar-ang phrases that don't work for serious listeners. Sitarists will do well to avoid it and play the original Bhatyali composition insead.

Anzay Warid is this the one you are referring to? ruclips.net/video/NRbp77KsNjw/видео.html
The opening right after the raga introduction is indeed similar but the rest is very different.

Why don’t bidaar ang phrases work for serious listeners? Variation in Laya is beautiful. Bhairavi is middle eastern in origin and anar anar represents that perfectly. Also anar anar as a song is not an offshoot of anything- it’s been around for hundreds of years انار انار بیا با بالینام
