Ditto what everyone else said....can never have enough books! Your channel has been a sweet and most inspirational discovery, Caterina. I've recently "retired" from a 30+ year education career. I'm so inspired by your projects to create my own books of my next chapter adventures, memories of a life well-lived so far, and all the other joys on my horizon. Thank you for helping unleash the creative possibilities! Keep making these book project videos - really enjoy your enthusiasm and creative energy.
Diana Shay Hi Diana, congratulations on your retirement! How fun to begin a creative life in mixed media book making. Dear Caterina, there is no such thing as too many books!💙I love how your tutorials challenge my thinking about what makes a book and your techniques are transferable to lots of different projects! 💙 Happy Saturday morning!☕ 💙
Isabell 27 Oh! Isabell! I agree, you know I adore books.. just hoped to make a different video is all! So happy you enjoyed it! Happy Saturday morning dearheart! 😘💙💙
Hi Caterina, well, you’ve inspired me to make one of these to take with me to Melbourne when I return home (it will always be home to me) for the festive season. Perfect👌 - I have my books, my paper and will do it in stages, just like you have presented it to us. I have watched. No 1 a couple of times to get the feel for it. I agree with what you say about perfectionism. It’s always easier when I am making something for myself. For some reason, the pressure is off. Also, thank you for that dry brush tip. I won’t be making that mistake again 😉 I always enjoy watching you work and teach. I can tell that you have a good heart, it comes across. We all have our faves and you are definitely right up there for me. Thanks again for the inspiration. Love your work. 💕😊
Odette Burford Hi Odette! Thank you so much dearheart! What a lovely comment! I am so glad you will be making one when you return “home” to Melbourne... I really enjoyed working in it and it is perfect for travels. I still struggle a bit with perfectionism.. but keep reminding myself that I am making art and perfect is not a requirement.. I know logically that I will never attain perfection..and have worked to substitute the word “learning” instead. Thank you so much! I really love hearing from you! 💗🥰
Caterina Giglio, it’s 5pm here and I am having a rest after completing Stage 1. Yey! 🥳 I must say how, like everything in life, it’s not until you do it that you can fully appreciate how much work is involved. And it’s a credit to you that you made it look so much easier than what it really was. (Even though you did mention how much work it takes 😊) My Lap book is drying now and the next stage should be more fun. Again, thank you as I would never have thought of making one.
keller crucita Hi dearheart! How nice to hear from you! I love it too! Just yummy! Thank you for stopping by the channel..it is always wonderful to hear from you! ❤️😘
Gail Tuthill Hi Gail! Thank you so much.. I had fun making it and tomorrow I will be sharing a flip through of my finished journal! Hope you stop by! 😘

Lene Storgaard We adored Denmark... we have good friends there and my husband recently found out that he is Danish so we had a beautiful visit! Thank you! And my little lap book was just perfect for the trip! 😘
These are great! Love the old covers. Question: which brand deckle scissors are you using? I have had NO luck with either pair I purchased....yours look like they're actually, you know, CUTTING the paper instead of fraying/tearing it. Thanks in advance.
Vikiwastestime Hi Viki, I agree with you, they are awful.. I cut aluminum foil with them and it helps to sharpen them, but they are terrible and I am looking for a good pair to recommend. If I find them, I will post about it! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. 😘
Hello Cat, I know this video is a couple months old but my question is did you switch each signature into the tieback, and I have L.O.V.E everyone of your tuitions, l never make anything for myself but have experienced me too thank you for that just let myself go and come out of my mind freely, sending Blessing to you and your family 👪 😊
