Your alloy plate came off a lot easier than mine did. I worked for a couple of hours and finally had to use some heat to get it loose. I didn't glue the new cork but it seems to work ok.
Hello Lance, good video - well done. I will be returning to my Ferguson tractor project when the weather improves and this job is now on my "to do" list. We have had a month of polar deep freeze in Alberta Canada. Looking forward to better climate conditions.
Hi Lance nice video my 1954 tea20 I'm restoring the cork gasket is gone. I have to hold the lever with my hand or visegrips real pain in you know where. I need a new lever anyway because someone cut the ball on lever end for some strange reason. I'm replacing the cylinder. It leaks down a lot. Im from Canada and ordering from Steiner. I'll let you know whether theirs is flat or domed. I use the tractor all the time plowing snow or grading our long driveway. I've watched all your videos enjoyed all. Thanks
So just so I am clear the four bolts you talk about removing are the ones that hold the assembly onto the chassis and then you would pull out the lift lever and the shaft that you are working on in the video?
Hi Lance, I’ve just put a new hydraulic pump kit in my Tea 20 Massey Ferguson, the piston and housing was OK, I didn’t need to replace them. I put it all back together and decided to take the hydraulic lift control out afterwards because the hydraulics Was only lifting when the PTO was running. I have replaced the cork in the lift control and it’s still not working properly. My question is why won’t it lift up. I’ve tried adjusting it into a different position at the housing and adjusted the spring on the back to bout 8 half turns in. Any suggestions?
Lance, on my TO30, the Lift Spring Control Plunger that came on the tractor has a grove in the head of the Plunger where a pin on the Pad Retaining Plate rides in. My replacement plunger does not come with the grove. Is this pin and grove important? Can i cut the pin off the plate and use the new plunger? What are your thoughts? Thanks for everything! V/R Beach
@@BundyBearsShed I remember seeing on Waterhouse Forde where he was questioning why the Draft Spring Sleeve was commonly broken…maybe this was an attempt to correct the forces that could break apart the base from the sleeve. I was able to contact Steiner and they have sent a replacement for the Plunger that has the cutout for the Pin in the plate…time will tell…
Tried Thackery and positioner fun together in one comment, just kept disappearing, Tried splitting it in two, one half disappeared everytime. Then eventually Split the half that wouldn't post word by word. Strange.
Terrific Lance, I’ve been awaiting the fergie positioner fitment so I shall be watching with much interest
Im hoping to start fitting that this weekend but it depends on what interuptions I get. Some times things dont go anywhere near to the plan.

Im not sure they were glued but this way its only wearing on a nice smooth surface and not getting torn up on the rough housing.

Best of luck with that cold.
Great Video Lance. Love watching from up here in Canada. I’m looking forward to some warmer weather to get back at my Ferguson restoration
Sounds great!

Great job Lance - all looking good!

Nice video Lance, thank you. You should have asked Santa for a copper hammer to bash things, oh well, maybe next Christmas. Cheers.

Thanks Marlon, Steiner are a good crew, we order parts from them every week or so.
If I just want to replace the cork friction washer is there any need to pull the entire assembly out of the tractor?
No just undo the 4 bolts and its an easy job, mark where it was and bolt it straight back up, easy job.

The pto needs to be running to turn the pump, that is just how they were made. Check your control valve is moving freely.
@@BundyBearsShed Thanks will check it.

Not something I have seen, is this the pin that stops it from turning?
