At first I thought the agent was giving bad advice on moving so quickly. But it really isn’t the first house they saw. They’ve been looking for 4 weeks before the show.

What a mistake. They could have rented out one room for a couple of years in the last property. That was a house for 10 to 15 years and it for sure has gone up in value much more than the railway flat.
I know right? It blows my mind some of the houses couples pass on for silly reasons.
You’re forgetting it was significantly over their budget….even if they got the price lowered, it wouldn’t be anywhere near the price of the place they got.
@@graceadeline1990 I hope that a year later they are smacking their heads realizing how stupid they were for rejecting the last house. Such a lovely garden, plus the sun room (garden room), and NO ROAD NOISE. Oh well - you can bring the horse to the water but you cannot make it drink it.

I wish my realtor was proactive like them. I have to find all the houses I want to look at, and I get no feedback about what to offer or counter.

Yes, this is from the early 2000s, although Location, Location, Location has been on the air for 22+ years now, with the same hosts too, which is rare. It's interesting to see the evolution of the show over the years. It has changed a lot since this episode filmed.
This is definitely an episode best visited in the “Way Back Machine”. Phil’s hairline tells the story as do housing prices. But love the show enough to view again anyway.

It’s pretty easy to see it’s an aged show. The fashions, cars and technology are very dated
