Hi you have lovely big rooms and garden for a 2 bed house love the flooring you picked your going to make it a lovely home for your family love seeing old houses coming back to life with a bit of love hope you have many happy years in your new home
Thankyou so much! I was pleasantly surprised when I came to view this house, the size of every room was unbelievable to say it’s a 2 bedroom council house. But I am super grateful!! I can’t wait for the full transformation, adding my touches and modernising it more and more 🥰

Lovely video... great effort with the cleaning made for excellent result...lovely bathroom...space for a storage cuboard at the end of the bath...I hoped you would have painted the living room walls though. Overall a lovely house😊
Thankyou so much! We are definitely on the same page about the walls in the living room. I have painted them and they look SOO much better, I’m actually not even mad about them still being artex. Even though I’ll get it skimmed at some point, but I’m happy for now. Appreciate your comment ❤
Great question! I got a furniture package when I got the house. That included the flooring, sofas, an oven, a microwave, two double foam mattresses and a hoover. I understand not everyone is eligible for the furniture package and I’m not sure if all councils offer it but I was and still am sooo grateful!!! 🥰
@@SisterKidd thank you kindly for replying, we left due to Domestic Violence now finally got our keys today but nothing in the house I don’t have a bed cooker or anything so I’m hoping something helps as we left our whole lives behind us so hopefully 🤞 thank you so much 🥰❤️
@@casss9910 so sorry to hear that you had the horrible experience of DV 💔 things can only get better from now! If not there’s a few charities that can help with furniture and/or white goods. Hope this helps x
Councils should be disgusted with themselves. Giving a tenant a house in this state. Some housing even get a cleaner in before tenants move in. Would they like to clean this mess up ? Did you get any vouchers to decorate ? Thats what some do when its not in a good state.

@SisterKidd How long did you have to wait? Sorry it just annoys me the high rental for private, no offence! Not saying it was any easier for you to get one.
@ I had to wait just over 4 years and my rent is over £500 a month as I work full time. A lot of people believe with council houses rent is free or near to nothing. It all just is dependant on peoples lifestyles and financial situations
The garden is huge! I bet the dog was so happy running around in it after living in a flat ❤
Its amazing when you finally get a council house. I got one august 2022 at 52 years old ❤
