I don't know why so many gardening channels want to hide their locations. You have no idea how helpful it is to know the area we are watching so that we can know how to relate to our own area.
Along with clogging and failing, soaker tubing can come with pin sized holes. As a result, it sprays water where you don't want it to go. I have had drip lines in the ground for over a year with temperatures below freezing. They are working well for me.
I was trying to figure out why my soaker tubing looked like sprinklers at the beginning and nothing at the end. Looks like I need to install a pressure regulator in front of each line. Thanks!
Thank you for this helpful video! We are planning adding irrigation this season and have a lot of concerns this helps. Do you have any issues with the water temperature getting so hot for the plants. When I use the water hose it's burning hot in the summer sun & heat so I have to let it run off to cool down before watering.
The same happens to our water hose in the summer. I don't know if the water heats up in drip lines. But if it does, it does not affect plants in a bad way. Our plants are fine with drip irrigation in the summer. Good luck with your drip irrigation! It will take your gardening to the next level.
Oh just had another brain fart… I wonder if one way to clean the drip hoses is to pump some diluted vinegar solution through it. I’ve heard of attachments you can buy that plugs in to drip irrigation systems that allow you to add liquid fertiliser and the tap water runs through that small reservoir placed along the supply line and distributes it through the entire system. So I wonder if you’d be able to run a very diluted vinegar solution through it then flush it out with pure tap water (to ensure it’s well diluted and not going to significantly affect the pH of your soil). I have zero experience with this but just wondered if that would work.
Drip tape is the way to go in long areas. I use the 1/4 =" to individual plants and the 1/4" "brown" (every 6") in containers. I ALWAYS plant too closely and by July start having to move plants so the drip tape holes are 12" apart. Soaking has never lasted long for me and frankly was inefficient and ineffective.
@@millsfamilygardening2634 One word of warning. They really only work well when they can be laid out straight. I have a 30' "coil" that works but it won't do corners or sharp turns. And make sure holes are visible (I first had mine in the dirt and they got stuck with dirt). Good luck

I'm so glad it was helpful! Thank you!
I just don't watch any more videos if they don't disclose the location or zone. The information is just too different for the various areas.

I prefer drip lines, too. Thank you!
У вас огород уже зеленый 😍 Молодец, Динара!
Да, потихоньку зеленеет. Такое счастье! Спасибо, Нургулечка!

Yes, it should help distribute water more evenly. You are very welcome!

@smb-zf9bd I plan to try drip tape sometime soon, hopefully. Thank you!
