  • Dating back to ancient Greece, Cani Corso were warrior dogs. When the Romans conquered the Greek islands, the legionnaires brought the dogs back to Italy and bred them with Italian dogs. Over the centuries, the breed became well-rounded farm dogs, guarding property, droving, and hunting game. Not many use the Corso for hunting today but it is one of their better skills. Sam of Diamond Grit Cane Corso, has been hunting hog in the Everglades and shares some of his experience with us.

I love watching the Diamond Grit Cane Corso channel, I love the fact that he raised he’s dog’s as pets but also as working dogs, I’m a big believer on having dogs with a purpose in life to keep the breeds doing what they are born to do

@@nogodsnomasters1891you can still have a dog hanging around the house like a pet and then take it out and catch a pig as long as you know how to raise a dog properly and teach a dog how to hunt a pig , a serious dog person always keeps there dog under control though, as a young bloke I had a Mastiff/ Foxhound and a Pitbull/ Ridgeback as pets , never saw a pig first 2 years of there life , took them hunting and they found and held there own medium size boar , they where still good pets after that, owning a dog is a full time commitment what ever you do with it

Thank you! I really enjoyed this video. I have done some hog catching myself with my American Bulldog many years ago. This was very informative and I might give him a call someday when I'm ready for my next dog.

I have developed such a distaste for pit bulls and other big dogs because I am scared of them. I know, it's a me problem. It's really refreshing to learn people are using dogs for their purpose. Those are happy dogs. My neighbor has kangle mixes and they are used to guard his house, those are happy dogs. They don't want to be your friend, they are very busy. There are dogs that should be working and not being house pets.

Don’t lump pits in with actual working dogs. Pits and bully’s were only ever bred for maiming and killing other animals, dogs and people. Combine that with the neurological issues from back yard breeding and every single pit is an aggressive mess of an animal that should be destroyed

    • @donkeyballs3307

A pitbull isn't a " big dog " ,a 220 lb Caucasian Shepard is a big dog ,pit bulls are a small dog

Oh no no no… we aren’t tearing others apart in the name of sport? There are other ways other than those dogs tearing another animal apart… that’s not sport… that’s just killing… bye… you obviously are condoning this … inscribing…
