- Dating back to ancient Greece, Cani Corso were warrior dogs. When the Romans conquered the Greek islands, the legionnaires brought the dogs back to Italy and bred them with Italian dogs. Over the centuries, the breed became well-rounded farm dogs, guarding property, droving, and hunting game. Not many use the Corso for hunting today but it is one of their better skills. Sam of Diamond Grit Cane Corso, has been hunting hog in the Everglades and shares some of his experience with us.
I love watching the Diamond Grit Cane Corso channel, I love the fact that he raised he’s dog’s as pets but also as working dogs, I’m a big believer on having dogs with a purpose in life to keep the breeds doing what they are born to do
These dogs are not pets SMH
@@nogodsnomasters1891you can still have a dog hanging around the house like a pet and then take it out and catch a pig as long as you know how to raise a dog properly and teach a dog how to hunt a pig , a serious dog person always keeps there dog under control though, as a young bloke I had a Mastiff/ Foxhound and a Pitbull/ Ridgeback as pets , never saw a pig first 2 years of there life , took them hunting and they found and held there own medium size boar , they where still good pets after that, owning a dog is a full time commitment what ever you do with it
@@nogodsnomasters1891 what do you mean?
These working Corso’s should be the breed standard!
Love Diamond Grits program. Been following their videos for awhile.
Good to see real dog folks working their dogs 👍🏼
Great interview brothers, i really enjoyed listening to diamond grit talk about his working dogs and hoping for a part 2
Thank you! I really enjoyed this video. I have done some hog catching myself with my American Bulldog many years ago. This was very informative and I might give him a call someday when I'm ready for my next dog.
Man #1, great interview. Now, this is the dog I would love to get my puppy from because of its pedigree and owner training. RESPECT FROM DC
I have bearly started this video.

Thanks for putting this on. Very informative.
Good video Good information would follow his channel 👍
I have Rotti's and would love to see them being used for search and rescue. My 2 are family dogs but have a lot of drive and a lot of energy, which I was expecting after researching the breed. Great content, guys.
Great video appreciate the info salute 🫡
Nice one 👍
Before santa rosa put on the hi falootin airs got to hunt pigs whith him and his dogs. Guy I rode with had bear dogs. Absolutely best hunts ever. Laugher / dogs had those radio collars . Pretty girl and joker best.
❤
I legit teared up when your boy mentioned losing his top dog a few months ago. You can’t put a value on any life of a pack member… human or dog
nice
Would rather get a huge gamedog line apbt or malinois or dutch all day. Cane corso are not stopping anyone with a knife or as a real manstopper.
Im thinking about getting a Presa
I know many hog hunters that use curs as running catch dogs, not bay.
When are you going to make a video of Roscoe ?
I have developed such a distaste for pit bulls and other big dogs because I am scared of them. I know, it's a me problem. It's really refreshing to learn people are using dogs for their purpose. Those are happy dogs. My neighbor has kangle mixes and they are used to guard his house, those are happy dogs. They don't want to be your friend, they are very busy. There are dogs that should be working and not being house pets.
Don’t lump pits in with actual working dogs. Pits and bully’s were only ever bred for maiming and killing other animals, dogs and people. Combine that with the neurological issues from back yard breeding and every single pit is an aggressive mess of an animal that should be destroyed
A pitbull isn't a " big dog " ,a 220 lb Caucasian Shepard is a big dog ,pit bulls are a small dog
@@donkeyballs3307 They are "big" to me
Hey
Hey you..
Catch dog with nose ? My Fila
This dog breed has been ruined by breeders like this SMH
?
No sir - The A.K.C. ruined this breed.
Love this !!!!!❤
Great interview😃👍🏼
Congratulations on working your dogs .
Does he bring a gun out with him?
Oh no no no… we aren’t tearing others apart in the name of sport? There are other ways other than those dogs tearing another animal apart… that’s not sport… that’s just killing… bye… you obviously are condoning this … inscribing…
They don't "tear them apart" lol. They hold them still.
You have issues, bye!
