I climbed Kili last Summer when I was seventeen and it was the most powerful experience I have ever felt. It is the first time I have ever had to overcome such adversities and had to ignore all the voices in my head telling me to stop. Once you reach that summit, it truly does make u see the world in a different light. I will never forget all the names of the crew that got me there. Everyone should do this and experience these feelings for themselves :)
Just came back from Kilimanjaro and did the Machame route myself. Was so amazing to see the exact same places I climbed through again. Thank you for this
Hey man, great video. I attempted to climb killi 3 years ago but my appendix actually ended up rupturing on the mountain and i was airlifted off the mountain for treatment. and this video makes me wanna go back and finished what i started
@TysonTRAVEL .... I've not climbed above 5,500 metres, but the idea of Kilimanjaro has been something rattling around my head for years now, after watching your experience here .......... well its like petrol on a fire. I could feel the emotion just watching mate, thanks so much for sharing your journey... LOVE IT!!!!!!
Awesome video! I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2015. I could not have described the experience better than you! It was life altering for me. Truly inspiring. I am climbing Mt Rainier in September and shooting for Denali in 2018. Thank you so much for sharing this experience.
Really appreciate you saying that :) This was one of my most moving experiences, so I I'm really glad I had the chance to share it with you all :) Here is to a year, with a lot more moments like this for everyone!!
This brings back so many memories. I was here in April this year from around the 14th through to 20th and we followed the Machame route. One of the best experiences of my life. Thank you for documenting that awesomeness.
I am going through SO MANY emotions watching this. The nostalgia...even my heart has started beating watching you guys being woken up for summit night. Man! This is amazing.
Amazing! It actually gives me chills just watching this as it looks so incredible. A huge congratulations on your achievement :) This is such an inspirational video and the positive energy that the African people have is so uplifting. My husband and I are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in July and we're excited beyond words. My hubby did the trek four years ago and he always tells me how amazing it was. Since we got married it's been on our bucket list to do the trek together. To camp under the stars in Africa will be the adventure of a lifetime 🌍
After doing this climb my self this video speaks so many words. The pain, the suffering but feeling at the top is worth it 100%. If anyone gets the chance to do it... do it !
good job man !! I did it in 2012 and your words are so true!! It doesn't matter how much money you have and what you drive. This is the moment in life to feel that you are alive and you are the man!! I went back to my memories
Just Wow :O Will be climbing Kili this summer and your video just gave me so much motivation. Thank you so much for creating this video as I will be able to share with close friends and family what it felt like. Hope your channel grows because this video was the most inspiring and uplifting video I have seen on youtube. Keep it up !
I just returned from Mt Kili just a few short weeks ago. Life changing, for sure. Love, love this video!! Congrats to you for summiting and watching you with your mountain family brought back amazing and heartwarming memories for me!
I summited Kilimanjaro on 9-30-2015 at 7:40am. That emotion you felt at the peak, I felt it too when I put my hand on the sign at Uhura Peak as I said to myself "You didn't quit." At that moment I was met with a mixture of exhaustion, relief and pride. And it got me choked up. I had took some video on my GoPro but it ran out of battery life around the time we got to the top of the Barranco Wall. You've put together a hell of a video here, though. Congratulations on you're accomplishment!
The most amazing, difficult and rewarding thing I've ever done and you captured it perfectly. I climbed with 42 and Paul, everyone involved with G Adv is incredible. Well done!!!
Hey Tyson, awesome video. I'm actually from Kilimanjaro but I'm in the diaspora and I'm going to Kill with some of my friends in 2018. Thanks for this vid, I'm super pumped now!
Very well edited video. And YES, the mountain makes you cry, both with pain & with joy. Having climbed it twice myself, and even set a world record on it in 2015, I have special memories of this beauty. And of the wonderful guides, who make sure you continue to put one foot in front of the other. Great video. Where are videos 2 & 3 ?
Brilliant video. This took me back to my climb. It is not an easy journey but it was one well worth doing. To date, it is one of the hardest things that I have yet done, but it is the one thing I look back at and say I climbed Kilimanjaro so I can do anything.

Beautiful footage. Wish we had done the midnight ascent. We left at 4am and saw the sunrise enroute. It was the best trip ever. Challenging, but with proper prep, anyone really can do it!
I did the Salkantay Trek in Peru with G Adventures. The experience was amazing. Our highest point was 4630m and it was challenging for me. I can't imagine how it would feel going higher. It was something that I will never forget. Love this video!
Thanks for sharing this! I loved the video and it's so recognisable after our own tour with G-Adventures on the same route in March of this year. It describes the experience and emotions so well, as well as the attitude you need to do it. I cried in the end, thanks so much for putting this together!☺️
Well done. I climbed Kili last Jan. Unfortunately winds were bad on the summit and we were ushered down quickly. We will just have to go back to get better pics of the summit.
Woo-hoo - AWESOME! Am really looking forward to doing this in September. My memories of Annapurna and Thorung La are quite like this so have half an idea what to expect. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Oops, somehow I appear as someone I am not - sorry Karen, don't know how this happened (Barb here)
One of the best Kili videos that I have seen! Brings back floods of memories from when I did it in August 2018. You've truely captured the true essence of the experience - the people, the mountain, the challenge. #polepole #hakunamatata
Dude this is so amazing and beautiful!!! It's on my bucket list to climb Kili and I finally set a goal to climb in 2018! I've started to learn Swahili with 1 hr of practice on my way to my restaurant job just so I can speak with the natives and porters in their own language. I was so excited to know the songs you featured in your vid! I am so excited to experience that moment you described at the top of the mountain! Thanks for the vid!
