This is merely a preview of the footage yet to come! This is roughly 3GB of nearly 150Gb of footage I recorded at the Moon Rocks. I will be starting to work on a video of this whole day which includes all the single track to and from and in between! If your interested in the full video make sure to SUBSCRIBE AND HIT THE NOTIFICATION BELL! Enjoy in 4k
My 2 stroke buddies and I are heading up there in a few days. I am older with more experience. They are younger and faster. My experience has taught me that riding on rocks breaks bones. I'll still do it. 🤷♂️
@@Captain250FX If you ever need meth, there is a motel at the corner of US-41/M-28 in Harvey across the road from McDonald's and Hudson Mechanical. Not saying you should, but if you want to fit in with the locals, just do a little meth and hookup with a local. And you know what they say "If they ain't 280, they ain't a lady."
This "secret" trail is getting more and more people on it. More people bring more problems, to everything offroad related. I use to ride an XR there when it was a deer trail. I dont go there anymore cuz all my other area's i still have to myself. Glad u didnt give out the location like requested. I rode an area nearby Friday, what a perfect day for weather. 49 miles, not another soul in sight with cliff views and sand dunes.
I’m going to bass lake this Saturday 9/30. Im from UP also. Is there a way to contact you for this trail? I ride a DR650. My buddy and I did Porterfield earlier this year.
@@Captain250FX alright! Ill make an insta account 😂 my buddy did porterfield on his Tenere 700. Needless to say he was pretty tired. We did a weekend trip up at the porkies too this year with Presque Isle Campground as base camp
Event Trail for UP Sandstormers UP300. Event Trail for what used to be the Loose Moose National Enduros. That's all I'll say. Run into Corkie, Zambon or McGoo?
I bet. That’s what I love about Michigan we have such a diverse trail system. A lot of people think Michigan is all sand but they just don’t know where to go. Thanks for watching!
Also, I know that you and I are dirt bikers, but bar none, the downhill MTB trails in Marquette offer better singletrack than the dirt bike trails. And these dh trails are top 5 in the nation flow trails. Only thing that sucks about MTBing these days is that a bike is the same price as a fair used dirt bike.
Ya that’s crazy the money for some mountain bikes. The campground we stayed at had a lot of mountain bikers this weekend with some seriously expensive bikes!
@@Captain250FX Were you at the Tourists Park in Marquette by NMU, the Tourist Park between AuTrain and Munising, or Kabauwgum on M-28? There are also many USFS campsites that are first come first serve.
No sir. I put on a 525 cheater before our winter trip down south and love it! Combined with tubeless it crawls up everything very good and is even pretty good in sand. The 33’s would have sucked on this trail. Thanks for watching Mike!

🤙🫡 Me too!
Place looks awesome I can’t wait to ride it this summer
It's pretty unique for sure!
There is access to a connector trail that leads to the good single track is you stay at the Model Towne Inn in Gwinn.
Good to know!

Awesome trail! I love the rocky sections 👍Looking forward to seeing the rest of the ride! 🤘
Thanks Bart! It will definitely be a few weeks, I have back to back races coming up on the 12th and 19th.
Good luck! Will you be making videos on the races?
@@bartman376 sure will!
Good to see you are enjoying your retirement 😀 👍

Man most of the trails where I’m from are so rocky it’s annoying sometimes lol I got so say they can humble you pretty quick!

pretty wild stuff. Almost looks like old cracked up sidewalk.... why exactly are the mosquitoes so bad up there? Lots of standing water or what?
I have know idea why the mosquitoes are so bad? It’s funny though because even the yoopers will tell ya get ready for black flys and mosquitoes!

Thanks Bill I appreciate that!
This trail looks amazing is it a public trail?
I think so? It’s not on any Dnr site though you just have to know where to go.
Im going up in july for bass lake trail. I will find this one for sure.
@@curtisjackson6533 nice we rode Bass Lake on our last ride day, it’s nice a flowy for single track! Also did Porterfield Lake .
Awesome cant wait to see the vid!
you still running MX33's? how'd it handle those rocks? Looks pretty dry

It looks more like your “friend” dropped you like a “piñ”ata…How many times did everyone fall off?
I think we fell a few times that day, I made the mistake of hitting that one in 1st gear and whiskey throttled. Some of the rocks are pretty big.
