Yeah an adventure game where you travel with some of your clan members with different abilities uncovering and destroying the evil essence from the world
I honestly think each Yoshimitsu is a different person. Being that Yoshimitsu is a title, the actual person who takes the title probably changes with time and they keep all the same characteristics.
The Yoshimitsu in the tekken games is the same one throughout. But the Yoshimitsus in Soul Caliber are different. Don't know when they change but I think there were 3 different Yoshimitsu.
Let me tell you what Yoshimitsu is - he was a flesh and blood ninja until he lost his arm and met Dr Bosconovitch. The doctor became his friend and cybernetically replaced his arm in Tekken 2. Now, Dr. B then became a member of the Manji Clan, upgrading their tech and enhancing Yoshimitsu's body with robotics. As the Tekken games progressed, Yoshimitsu became more and more cybernetic as he needs the upgrades to fight his nemesis Bryan Fury.He is NOT an alien, hes a CYBORG. The sword he carries is magical in nature, passed on through the leaders of the clan since the first Yoshimitsu founded the clan in Soul Calibur 1.
bro, i just want to say that frank jaeger.. cyborg ninja... shares the same story... as well as Raiden.. damn these cyborg samurais ninjas are so badass
1). T1 & T2 Catch Copy: Space Ninja T1 Bio: A ninja from space, also head of the world theft ring, the 'Manji Group.' T3 Bio: Yoshimitsu is the leader of the Manji Clan, a notorious gang of Robin Hood-like space thieves. 2). "Yoshimitsu" is both the title/name of the Leader/Ruler of the Manji Clan AND the name of the cursed "alien" sword that is passed down to ALL Yoshimitsus (which has the ability to capture and/or steal the soul of the person it killed and give abilities of that slain person to the Yoshimitsu who wields it (just like the Misurmami Blade from Japanese folk lore). 3). The Yoshimitsu that we see in Soul Calibur IS NOT the same Yoshimitsu that we know from any of the Tekkens, that is the Tekken's Yoshimitsus predecessor. 3). As far as we know the Yoshimitsu that we've seen in ALL the Tekkens is the same, seeing as he has a personal vendetta for the "cyborg" Bryan. WHO! May actually be one of their Ronin (Rogue) Manji members that betrayed them and ORIGINALLY had them stranded on Earth. Hence why our Yoshimitsu keeps upgrading himself via Dr. B in attempt to keep up with Bryan constantly advancing himself. But seriously, "alien" thing is mentioned in his bio OR rather him and his clan being from outer space. But that could've solely been the FIRST Yoshimitsu who was an alien and passing down the mantle and cursed blade to a deserving "human" that continued the legacy, we dont 100% know.
His character is actually inspired by two Japanese folk legends Minamoto no Yoshitsune and Minamoto no Yorimitsu who were both legendary swordsmen and is why his name is Yoshimitsu. He’s also probably my favorite Tekken/Soul Caliber character.
FINALLY! A Video about talking Yoshimitsu and his origins. For a character that's been around so long, there hasn't been too much discussion on him. AFTER ALL HE IS IN TWO DIFFERENT FIGHTING GAME FRANCHISES! Yoshimitsu needs a game of his own or something to dig deeper into his character. Thanks AwpWilliams! p.s. SUBSCRIBE - "click"

I always had a feeling looking at the soul calibur version of yoshimitsu, that he is an alien who lives by the rules of samurai, as a hermit guardian of a Japanese village, shrouded in mystery. He always shows strict traditional, play by the rule attitude.
Nice job on the movie, I enjoyed it :) P.S. On his bandages at the end of the movie, there's written "shiki soku ze kuu" (色即是空). It's a part of Heart Sutra and it means literally "Form is itself emptiness". A very popular sutra, and a very deep one.
Had no idea Yoshimitsu was in the first 2 Soul Calibur games. Remember I played Tekken 3 and Soul Calibur 1 at an internet café long ago. To think that fact went right over my head while I was playing.

Dude, I learned a lot here. Excellent research. It's like the evil of the blade/energy is akin to the warp concept of 40k and thus explains his dimorphism, corrupting, moulding the body of the wielder.
God I loved fighting Yoshi in the older Soul Calibur games, his A.I would always find some way to make him Sword Helicopter himself out of the ring. When I'd fight him in arcade mode, I wouldn't even attack him just because of that.
He has been confirmed by Harada to be human. Finally after so long. I also had a feeling he was human. He reminds me if Decker from power rangers samurai. Nice work on the Soul Calibur end of things! Yoshimitsu has always been a favorite of mine in the Tekken/SC series, even if he hasn't always been my main. A few things to consider for Part II, perhaps. In the comments below, some folks are mentioning the booklets for earlier Tekken games that refer to Yoshimitsu as the "Mechanized Space Ninja." This is indeed accurate, and along with Yoshimitsu's truly bizarre transformation from Tekken 2 to Tekken 3, it's probably one of the biggest contributors to the "Yoshimitsu is an alien" theory. A key question, of course, is what "space" is actually referring to. The original description, "karakuri uchuu ninja," translates to "mechanized space ninja," but I'm not sure if the word "uchuu" refers just to outer space or the cosmos. There are some discussions out there that state "uchuu" refers to a void, or emptiness, though I don't know how credible those are. It's basically a question of whether "uchuu" can mean more than one kind of space -- something to look into, to be sure. Anyone have a good Japanese dictionary...? This, I think, is somewhat difficult to reconcile, but very important anyway! Yoshimitsu definitely looked VERY human in Tekken 2 -- behind the mask we can see clear outlines of human ears, hair, and lips. Maybe there are a few possibilities here, then. Tekken 1 and 2 Yoshimitsu could be an alien, disguised as a human. It's also possible that "uchuu" does indeed refer to a void or emptiness, rather than cosmos, implying Tekken Yoshimitsu could be a human... A third possibility, though: how do we know that the Tekken Yoshimitsus are all one person? In the 19 years between Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, perhaps another successor came along, and even another after that. We also have to consider another bit of conflicting evidence -- according to the Tekken Wiki, in the Tekken 6 artbook under Yoshimitsu's history, it states: "Fans often say he looks inhuman, but the character setting is that there actually is a human in the armor." Add it all up, and you have an issue almost as confusing as Poison's gender...
Obsidian451 Thanks for your interest in my video. You know quite a bit. I'm actually working on part 2 of this as I type to you. Everyone enjoyed my editing on this one so I'm doing my best to do even better for the next.
@@Obsidian451 according to the wiki currently, it has been confirmed that yoshimitsu is human by the creator, i also couldn't find any mention of the word space in his bio's on there. i believe i only have T4-TTT1 on the ps2, the T5 for the psp and i got T7 yesterday, i could dig the old ones up to see if i could find a booklet or bio in game but i played those games when i was 4 so i don't remember anything but gameplay, and i didn't know english well until i started playing online games when i was 10.

He's without a doubt a cyborg inhabited by a yōkai / oni spirit from Japanese folklore, hence the different looking katana swords (which is later on paired with an ō-wakizashi sword, making him a user of daishō), his classic menpō / hannya masks and lastly, different kabuto style helmets. At some point, his costume was even inspired by the gods Fuujin and Raijin. But right now, his look is clearly inspired by the legendary creature, Akkorokamui - the "Japanese Kraken". Oh well 🤓

Isn't that kazuya's move?
Yoshimitsu is a master of mimicry.
He can also do Bryan's taunt and the poison fog that Nina and Armor King can use.
+Nikolai Vutasherkov Yep
Yoshimitsu is IMO one of the most morally righteous fictional characters ever created.
Why so many dislikes ? Awesome video
Thank you for these 2 videos!
You're welcome. :D
Well ur right he's no alien but only a strange human warrior
He's without a doubt a cyborg inhabited by a yōkai / oni spirit from Japanese folklore, hence the different looking katana swords (which is later on paired with an ō-wakizashi sword, making him a user of daishō), his classic menpō / hannya masks and lastly, different kabuto style helmets. At some point, his costume was even inspired by the gods Fuujin and Raijin. But right now, his look is clearly inspired by the legendary creature, Akkorokamui - the "Japanese Kraken". Oh well 🤓
