cool build, for anyone that plans on doing one for their 110, if the throttle grip is like this, its way easier if you get a new throttle tube instead of having to cut away at the one thats glued on, saves so much time
Sorry for the 720p quality, I figured I'd rip these and put them on as a single video! Enjoy! Please note; I'm sorry you think that washing with a plug is required. You should see how many years people have washed their bikes, ATV's, SXS etc without them, without ruining the engines.. And yes, you're right, it's not a "full" build, but, it is a full video fo the series that I had done. And sure, I could add a big bore kit, a bunch more stuff; this build wasn't finished. It's also not supposed to be an unrealistic build where you're pretty much just creating a super-mini or something. Everything done here is easily anyone can do to their machines with minimal work or money invested. Thanks for watching!
Nice build. Yeah I hate riding in sand. Not my favorit thing to do. The KLXL 110 is a wheelie maschine though. Even straight stock it will come up in any gear!
@@snyderhaus there a lot of fun I’ve got a 143 klx with a v2 and it is absolutely crazy especially for someone as small as I am it’s a lot of power. But you’ll have a perfect bike with either a high compression piston or a 134 the full build I a little bit to much without a cradle and upgraded suspension
When putting on the pipe if you tighten the nut on the inside of the bend a little more then the other as you tighten both it makes it tighter and easier going
I have both of the bikes, which were done with the same mods. I may have done some and filmed it on the one or the other.. so interpret it as you will, there’s two of them in there
I think because the motor isn't running super well due to the huge increase in air flow, the sound characteristics have changed for the exhaust. I'll upload a video once I've jetted the carb! Without the exhaust on and just the pipe though, lmao it sounds insaneeeee!
Definitely not; they are taller and you’ll want to replace the cables. You might make it work, but they’ll be tight and potentially pull on the throttle cable which I think is the biggest issue
Air filter and exhaust require carb adjustments... it can run with the choke pulled out all the way, but not running as well. See other comment for what I did on the carb specifically
It's pretty bad with the filter and the exhaust for sure. I've got to find my jets and get those installed so I can see the difference and post a video for it!
I recently purchased a klx110l and I am having trouble with the carb do you have any suggestions on it.i don’t know much about the stock carbs I use a smart carbs on my 250 but I can’t figure out how to work the klx110l
If you purchased new or used that changes the variables.. or if you have anything on it like a muffler or any changes that will also mess with it and things that would have to be known. If it’s new from dealer talk to them. If it’s used then even cleaning the carb could be it. Otherwise, play around with the choke; does pulling the choke let it run better or worse? This will just give you a very small insight into what’s happening and then typically you can work from there. Hope this helps
Okay; my suggest is to just make sure nothing else is an issue. They are pretty straight forward in terms of air fuel spark. If everything is stock it shouldn’t sputter much. Make sure fuel is high octane good fresh stuff, air filter clear and clean, and then a good spark. If those are all good make sure the carb is set to stock and then work out from there! Hope that helps.
It’s all preference and price point! I’ve heard the pro circuit is a super slick exhaust. The Yoshi seems overkill for my Application but hey, it was only thing available for me and worth at the time.
Hey! I had plans to do some more just been really busy. I have some footage filmed of my 300, and just bought a yz125 I was going to do some videos of.
Sounds like it wants more gas. If you jet the carb it would be a lot faster and would be better for the engine since it now has a performance intake and exhaust
Plugs are not mandatory. Not to mention, I wasn’t blasting it in the inlet and also was removing that muffler. I’m also comfortable with washing my machines without getting water in there as well.
That was the plan. Hence the original series, unfortunately, due to covid etc parts are hard to come by, and if I can, they cost way too much to justify spending.
i would just get an aftermarket normal one and keep it inside the air box, i don't like them being open like that, they get wet through a little puddle of water, and you can't just rinse the bike off without it being soaking wet and getting water in the carb.
Hey Thomas, I kept the pilot stock I believe and went down to an 85 on the main? I'd have to look again. I have a video of replacing this coming eventually. If you aren't doing pod filter + exhaust I'd say you dont even need to change it. I definitely need to, right now the bike only runs with the choke pulled all the way out for me.

This will NOT work. To use the stock levers without new cables you have to put them like this, otherwise you will pull the cable too tight when turning the handlebars.

One more mod I recommend is definitely a high compression piston it just gives it the boost it needs without being as crazy as a big bore kit

There is no slot for it to go into, so it won’t attach to the handlebars. You have to remove it and it will work
