What time of the year did you go? Planning on visiting in April 2025 and wondering if the beach will look like this.
We visited in March. It is hard to predict the sargassum. It can change on a dime. However, this part of the beach seems to do pretty well. We were in Akumal last year and there were piles of it on the beach. Cheers.

Yes, the waves that you see in this video were pretty consistent all week. I suppose that in windy conditions, the waves would be a bit larger. The beach is really nice in Costa Mujeres. Cheers

i’m planning to go to the palace but have some friends staying at dunamar, you mentioned you can’t use the a la carte restaurants at dunamar, but can you still eat at the buffets there while staying at palace costa mujeres?
Hello, you can have lunch only at the Riu Dunamar buffet.
how about the chair available at the beach, there's a lot person who reserved at 5;00am? and never show up ? i will be there in fews week can't wait. How about the restaurant a la carte, buffet are better ? thanks
Hello, I mention in the video that there are tons of loungers/chairs available on the beach. You won't have any problems finding one. I enjoyed the a la carte restaurants and the buffet. You will be eating at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. The a la carte restaurants are a nice change from the busy buffet atmosphere. Have a great trip!

Do u know how is the sargassum in September at this location?
There are sargassum Facebook groups and a website that reports on the severity of it. While I can’t predict the situation in September, I can tell you that the two Riu resorts do a decent job of cleaning it up.

It takes about a minute to walk from
the hotel to the beach. It takes 12 minutes to walk along the beach in front of both hotels. I filmed the video in real time. Cheers
