@David Miorgan Only cat I know which uses centerboards is Gemini and they are...eh, I should make a video on them one day. It won't be too kind to em. Though you are right. A violent impact could also damage the actual trunks. Leopard used to make boats with breakaway keels for this reason.
I love the flat deck But am I the only person that thinks those helms are in a weird halfway house position with a big chunk of wasted curvy real estate in front of them. Id need to get on one to try and workout how they make sense 🤷🏻♂️
It's a boat with a lot of things going for it. The the layout is not really one of them. More like something you would accept to have a well built, quick cat that isn't over-the-top pricey.
There doesn't seem to be very much visibility of the sails from the cockpit. That is kind of a negative. isn't there more storage under the bunks? Are the burners on gimbals?
Yeah, the 1600 has a number of drawbacks relating to it being an older design, I'll make a video about it...maybe lol. Catamarans don't have gimbaled stoves, it's not necessary.
Also, I forgot to mention...the rudders kick up! Helps with shallow draft areas since she a daggerboard-er.

@David Miorgan Oh, McConaghy*, yeah, no you are right they do. My bad.
One of the nicest boats out there. Thanks for
the walk through.

I absolutely agree with you. In my opinion, it is a messy situation. All those different levels of floor in the aft deck area. Crazy stuff

@@cougartpt793 how is that supposed to help anyone but you...?!
@@cougartpt793 whats wrong with fat chicks?
@@cougartpt793 I'm guessing your boat can go as shallow as you?
Awesome cat. Ticks a lot the boxes I have for a fast cruising cat.
Ben, nice walkthrough. Curious what the camera, lens, mic and muff you are using for this tour? Thanks!

@balls bag It's based on the Corsair 51...it's a long story
@@BigBensBoatBrokerage Please (p)review the new Seawind 1370. It looks like a great design to me.
@@LoanwordEggcorn In due time...gotta wait for it to be built first.
A wider angle lens would be nice.
