- There is no doubt that many FPV binding related videos have been published on RUclips. The problems are: (1) usually the binding procedure is deeply embedded in a rather long video without a clearly stated time line, and (2) the videos are way too long, several minutes, for a very short binding sequence, wasting the viewers' time. Consequently, I am trying my best to produce very short concise and to-the-point videos for commonly seen FPV drone and radio pairs. For the newly released BetaFPV Cetus X and LiteRadio 3 ELRS version, I am able to do it it about 36 seconds. In fact, it can be shorter; however, in doing so there won't be sufficient time for the titles. Let me know your opinion. Thank you.

thx for guide bro! it helped
Pressing the bind button on the drone doesn't change how fast the lights flash. They just keep flashing slowly. What should I do?
Sorry for this slow response. The binding button is a little bit difficult to reach and be pressed. Just try a copy of times and it will start the bidding process if the drone is in working condition.
For some reason holding the bind button on the controller seems to adjust the trim! Did I brick the Literadio 3 or something?
The only purpose of the BIND button is binding the radio to a drone. Turn the radio off, wait for a little longer, and try again. Please.
I tried on three LiteRadio 3 ELRS, and all of them were bound successfully. BTW, BetaFPV did not have a good reputation for good quality. If you try several times without success, I strongly recommend you to visit BetaFPV site and create a ticket. They usually respond in about 24 hours. Be prepare to take a video showing your problem. Hope this helps.
@@ckshene7212 I appreciate it thanks a bunch for the prompt reply!
@@Adog13 Hope you will resolve your issue ASAP.
Will this binding process work on any elrs drone?
Yes, I do think so. But, please be reminded that the older version of LiteRadio 3 was shipped with ELRS 2.4G V2.x. So, if your FPV drone has ELRS 2.4G V3.x, you have to either downgrade your drone to ELRS V2.x or upgrade your LiteRadio 3 to ELRS V3.x. If you have a recently delivered LiteRadio 3 such as the one coming with the Aquila16, the radio should be in ELRS V3.x. I have standardized my lower end FPV drones to ELRS V3.x and used a RadioMaster Zorro or TX12 Mark II. I have no difficulty whatsoever to use newer ELRS V3.x FPV drones (e.g., BetaFPV Aquila16, HGLRC Petrel 75 V2, etc.). Thus, you may consider to buy a better radio so that you could bind it with multiple FPV drones.
@@ckshene7212 I just got my meteor 75 Pro ELRS and I cannot bind it to my Lite Radio 3, which came with my Cetus X ready to fly kit. Any suggestions?
@@JohnPiper04 I don't have the Meteor 75, and, as a result, I may not be able to provide you with an accurate answer. What came up with in my mind is that your LiteRadio 3 (just like mine it came with a Cetus X), it only supports ELRS 2.xx; but the newer Meteor 75 Pro may have ELRS 3.xx installed. This means the radio and the drone do not have the same ELRS version. If this is the case, either you downgrade your Meteor 75 to ELRS 2.xx or upgrade your radio to ELRS 3.xx.
Another possibility is that the packet rate is set too high in your radio. Please try a lower packet rate such as 150 hz. I don't like BetaFPV because they ship their radio and drone, if you purchase them separately, with different ELRS versions. I hate ELRS either, because the developers of the ELRS protocol failed to maintain BACKWARD compatibility. I am a computer scientist and know very well the important issue of backward compatibility. The ELRS team did not do a good job to maintaining BACKWARD compatibility,. IMO, the FPV field is fragmented and ill-functioned. Should this continue. only the FPV hackers would stay in the field.
@@ckshene7212 thank you for the advice. Another thing to note is that my Cetus X came stock as SPI ELRS, while my new Meteor 75 Pro is SERIAL ELRS. Could my Lite Radio 3 only be able to connect to SPI ELRS and not SERIAL ELRS? Also, how can I downgrade my Meteor 75 Pro from 3.xx elrs to 2.xx elrs? That seems like the highest highest probably in my opinion. Again, your help is greatly appreciated
@@JohnPiper04 (1) I don't think downgrading a ELRS 3.xx drone/radio to ELRS 2.xx is a good idea because most if not all new ELRS drones are now in ELRS 3.xx. It is better to upgrade your radio to ELRS 3.xx if your Meteor 75 was shipped with ELRS 3.xx. Therefore, I would suggest that getting an ELRS 3.xx radio is a better idea. I am using RadioMaster Zorro ELRS 3.xx for my smaller FPV drones and I am very happy when using it.
The SPI version has an advantage in terms of binding because you could connect the drone to BetaFlight 4.xx version and bind it with the "Bind Receiver" option. If your FPV is not SPI capable, three the 3-plug method: plug your battery to the drone and remove it immediately, do this step again, and after plugging the power in the third time don't unplug it. Look around your drone, if you see a double blinking light, the drone is in binding mode. Then, allow your radio to enter the bing mode and in less than a minute, usually only 10-20 second, if the double-blinking light disappears becoming solid, the binding process c completed.
I have been using RadioMaster Zorro, TX12 MKII ELRS, TX16s MK II ELRS and BOXER. All of these radios are better to much better than the LiteRadio 3. So, getting a better ELRS 3.xx radio will open a rather wide window for you to fly ELRS enabled FPV drones.
Fucking thank you. Their documentation is such trash. FYI i had to triple press the bind button on the remote, it seems like that is the trigger to actually bind
Just want to reiterate: The Cetus X is a low cost entry level FPV RTF/BNF drone. Don't expect too much from an entry level FPV drone maker. 🙂
