    I once saw a video of him explaining that he has an assistant who retouches the photos in Photoshop / Aperture, but the framing and the whole composition is left untouched.

    It won't be Steve McCurry doing the editing anyhow. Great picture.

    I would expect the Photoshop work to be dodging, burning, and colour and levels adjustments. All could (may) have been done using paper, film, and an enlarger
