  • We give the H4D to some of the worlds most renowned shooters to put it through its paces. Michael Grecco, (USA), Steve McCurry (USA), and Kevin Then (Maylasia) were the first to get their hands on the new H4D-40.

Love how he used this big camera outside and does not care. Also, he holds it with his hands in a way that even covers a large area of the camera… nice 👍
Just looking into the X2D now (on order) but I would say even this H4D would be excellent in terms of output even in 2023.

The files are amazing. The only limitation of this camera is shooting in low light. The lenses are slow and the ccd sensor inside this camera doesn't do well over ISO 400.

@@anandhua.b4589 as well as anyone buying a camera for that reason nikon included. They are both very different systems, but both together make for a great toolbox for general use and large format capture for a different quality and presentation option later. At least that is why I use both systems. There are many great artists with as many tool options available to them. Based on our given resources, we choose based on our means, desire and availability.

Good video, I like to see more of this, showcasing a Hasselblad as more than a "studio only" camera.

Steve's left handed. If you ever see him using a DSLR he holds it even more oddly. It's either that or if you've ever held a medium format camera, sometimes it's just more comfortable

Steve McCurry could make great photos with a cigar box camera. Hassy is still more of a studio camera--big as hell, with poor ISO range.

Why people make photography videos and show no images is beyond me. So disappointing.

Steve lost most control of his right hand as a child due to Polio, that's why he uses his hand differently. Although I LOVE the H4D system, it's not a good camera. Unless you have the perfect light, it's pretty bad at anything above ISO400. If you're in control of light, then it's perfect

Hasselblad is very important camera manufacturer and H4D-40 is no doubt a very great camera. But believe me, Mr. McCurry never walks with a >$20k camera on his shoulder. It is simply not practical for that kind of shooting. From his body language you can already see that he is just saying.

Steve McCurry has always been a Nikon man. Most of his important works were taken with a Nikon

Ilja Vladimirovitsj it’s because he can’t use his right hand properly.
