@@MelissaBackwoods Thank you for this , like to see things in my budget for collecting. Honestly the K BAR that got me through 8 years is all l need . Others are just what l want. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
I love Schrade knifes for an inexpensive blade to carry that I'm not too scared of breaking/ lending or losing. SO SMART to hire Melissa to sell them! She's really convincing!
@@MelissaBackwoods Well they are reliable knives for the pricepoint! Great knives for beginners and for trips where you know you're gonna be very hard on your gear... just bring extra! LOL I wouldn't carry them for life or death situations, but otherwise they're great!
My daughters (9&11) LOVE your videos! They also get a kick outta your outro and repeat it many times a day! Thank you for making good, accessible, fun and informative videos that we can enjoy together!
I really enjoyed watching this on Christmas 🎄 eve. Melissa. You such a pleasure to watch 🙏so funny and witty and ... ouch the frikken cut. ⚔️ but hallelujah finally knife 🔪 💀 testing on a skull ☠️ ... thankyou mate Merry Christmas 🤶🏻 🎅🏻 🎄 and fantastic new year 2025 from THE SURVIVOR RANCH 🫡👍
I'm a camper/ backpacker. I keep the SCHF14 in my pack. I wish Schrade would bring it back so I could buy a couple more. I don't have a need for daggers, but the other knives look okay. ( Note to Schrade: you don't need faux saw teeth on a knife spine. )
Your videos bring me endless smiles! Watching you work on that ballistic gel zombie literally has me tickled to the core! Keep being a bad ass girl and I'm so proud of you for breaking that million follows!
i love your videos!!!!! keep up the great work!!!!! new watcher!!!!! *merry christmas!!!!!!!* hope you have a great one!!!! will you get more knives for christmas???
Well I can say is don't ever allow your self to buy a higher end knife because many of us say the same thing you did and then we see a model we really like that is say a 100 and the rabbit hole begins and next thing you know it's 2 years later and you are buying 1500 dollar knives. Been there done that and love every second of it.
To be fair, there are a lot of knives that are cool, artisanal pieces of functional art - which jacks up the price. Same goes for a lot of powder steels and other ultra-tough materials. In the end, though, around 50 bucks will get you something like a blade from Varusteleka’s Terävä line-up which will get most everything you’ll ever need from a knife done in a jiffy. I love the high-end stuff, but there’s a special place in my heart-shaped section for heavy-duty, ’absolutely nothing fancy’ knives made from traditional materials by folks with over a hundred years of experience in the business. Made in Finland, for heavy use, designed to last a lifetime. So yeah: 50 bucks is pretty much the bang-on sweet spot for a heavy user knife. 👍 Going beyond that gets you into diminishing returns fast.
I hope you're fine. These knives can be used as hidden backups because they aren't too expensive. Also if someone wants, all kinds of small modifications can be done on them; grinding a bit here or there, make a different shealth, etc. If you fail a modification you just buy an other one & try again.
The Boney Ard looks like it was made on a dare. 😆 Velociraptor-rang. Thanks for your entertaining and insightful reviews as always. Keep on Stabby Stabby Stabbing things. 😊
I’d like to provide an alternative best budget tactical knives under $50: 1. Ccanku C1290 2. Cold steel Spike Bowie 3. S&W H.R.T. 4. Cold steel Counter TAC I. 5. SOG SEAL PUP 6. Glock FM78/FM81. 7. Cold Steel Shanghai Shadow. There are more but these are the ones I have some level of experience with, and done some testing with. Including torture testing. As far as Schrade knives go, I have played with two examples, and I don’t like them. First, there is no way of knowing which steel they are made of. They will advertise one type on the website, a different steel is written on the box, and when you look at the knife blade, the third steel type is written. Second, many of their knives are too thin for the tasks they are designed for. Third, one of the two knives that I did get from them came in totally crooked.
Thank you for the list, this was a partner video with Schrade but I would love to explore a list video picking knives from different brands in the future . Much appreciated!! Curious to know more about the steel situation with schrade - thank you
If you haven't noticed, the plastic sheath for the knife has holes in it, that's for placing paracord for a strap down that goes around your leg, that way your knife won't pull off the sheath!🗡
I love your upbeat attitude in all your videos. I was currious what your take on cold steel black talon 2 is and cold steel kudu lite. I can't get some of those because of my location.
I have that Survival knife, and the handle scales completely broke apart and had to be removed. I have thought about making some custom scales, but never got around to it.
Hey is it ever possible for you to make a video of your “go to” personal knives in each category Tactical Camping/survival Hunting Edc Idk thought it would be cool to see what you could show off as well as it might give us ideas on which to get.
The first knife tested is a self-defense or kill dagger. It's not meant for survival tactics. It's built to stab flesh, not bones or trees or other hard surfaces. Daggers are meant to penetrate flesh for quick kills.
That's one huge Karambit 😳 The Karambit that my uncle used to cut (for harvesting paddy) is not as huge as in the video 😵💫 Yes, Karambit is originally from South East Asia. Hello from the Land Below the Wind 🙋🏻♂️
I have a giant Shrade karambit, don't know if it's exactly like the one you have here. The curve is so... curvy that the sheath split at the top so you could pull it out and I ended up cutting my thumb really bad. Went to Amazon to leave a review about it, but there were already so many people who post getting cut in the same place. Still a cool knife though lol
So, general question, why, when did we start carrying knives and why do you think. I've carried various knives for various sport but I don't think I've skinned an animal.
The one with the sheath you don't like there's probably third-party vendors that will sell a better one there's a third party sheath for the crkt spew I kind of have my eye on since I carry that one almost every day
