The pre-injection swabs you get with Libre is supposedly too strong. Using another brand of pre-injection swabs and/or moisturizing the next area you intend to apply your next sensor will help greatly with making your skin feel less irritated after you remove it.

    Hi Sarah,
I use the Dexcom G6 too, but never used the Dexcom Receiver or the Dexcom App. I use the XDrip App, mutch better then Dexcoms own App.
With XDrip you can config the alarms, or set them off. You have the option to automatic extend the sensor, without warmup...
If you still have some G6 Sensors, try them with the XDrip Android App, if you have an android phone.

Also, with this app, you can upload the cgm data to nightscout, if you have activate your nightscout site. The Follower function is also integrated.

Hi Sarah. You have a kind, gentle soul. Millie (love that name) is very lucky to have you as her mommy:) I hope that you continue to make videos to share with those of us who share your journey. Sending peace to you and Millie.

Hi Sarah, do you know why it wasn't inserted correctly on the first try? I've experienced this issue with a few sensors lately (even though i haven't done anything different) and I don't understand why it happens..

TBH the only criteria for a subsidised CGM/FGM should be that you are T1D.. Here in Australia so far they are only subsidising for under 21's, which is great for them of course, but so frustrating for everyone else, i wish the government realised that T1D doesn't go away or become magically easier once you hit a certain age... Not to mention that these monitors promote better control, and better control in the long run means less complications and less cost for the healthcare system overall
    Anyway, thanks for the video!

The Dexacom is supposed to be paired with one of their insulin pumps, working tandem. You seem sort of down Sarah, I hope all is well.

You don't have to use Dexcom CGM with an insulin pump. You can read your glucose with any compatible device, with the G6 (Dexcom's newest CGM) you can use Basal IQ on a compatible insulin pump BUT, the readings will be the same whether you have a compatible insulin pump or not.

Freestyle Libre SuXXXXXX. You cannot stop all alarms and have it work. You have to turn your bluetooth off at night which gives you an alarm of course. T1 since my immunotherapy for cancer. You are what taught me many things that the hospital did not tell me about. (they told me nothing and misdiagnosed me as a type 2 since they didnt know what the C-peptide test was)

Hi Sarah. My wife is diabetic and your videos are important to us. Please keep posting. We would like to know about your diet. Also, we would like to know how often do you get an A1C test and your A1C results.
