There's a thing I've noticed between these left/right spheres of thought, where it's more harmful to disagree with one topic of someone's political beliefs, then it is beneficial to agree with them on one topic of thought. So if you agree with someone on three things, and disagree with them on two, even one, then they would usually think less of you.
Destiny is in a sweet spot where his opinions and beliefs are mixed enough that he alienates most of the people who support him. I think EVERY person has at least two or three major topics they don't agree with him on. I'm like 90% sure its the reason people make him out to be a monster.
Interesting theory but I think it has more to do with who’s actually expressing their opinions and the amount of time they spend on the internet. I think the avg person is more nuanced and that’s shown by the majority of Americans falling in the middle of the political spectrum.
I was gaslighted by everyone including Destiny for months for pointing out that Andrew Tate might not actually be trafficking anyone and that promiscuous women engaging in a predator and prey dynamic is what many women choose in order to feel desired.

In German the concept of the word is that this particular someone is deserving of the damage that he‘s received because of something bad that he did - mainly something bad he did that is related to the damage that he received (in return) or even something unrelated when that person is perceived as a person that is generally doing bad deeds. Thus you’re happy that they’ve gotten something back.
So it’s kinda linked to the Karma concept. Otherwise the word is only being used in an ironic fashion or with a negative connotation to judge someone as a bad person because they’re having Schadenfreude for no good reason (that good reason being the other person having deserved the damage - kinda like you reap what you sow).

They get there and Lex meets Ethan (current boyfriend). They "spent the night together" by her account and the next day she breaks up with him citing the event 6 months prior. The day after she "spent the night" with another man. I won't elaborate, but I feel like this is noteworthy.

Not only did they _not_ cover up a sexual assault; there was _no sexual assault in the first place!_ At least as far as I can tell. Even according to her own retelling, he pestered Lex for a blow job, then pushed her head down a bit after she agreed to perform the act. Then she continued to see him for months and only raised the subject and framed the incident as an assault much later. So apart from the fact that she's entirely unreliable, what she described is not sexual assault, or at least it's a very, very borderline case and no DA would ever bother to prosecute it.

As far as the power imbalance, I think the huge difference between someone like a boss/someone who could advance your career and someone you admire is the advantage the other person has over you when they’re your boss is material, whereas the power someone has over you that you admire is completely subjective and intangible. If the argument is “the girl is too impressionable to say no to the lead singer of her favorite band”, you’re infantilizing the girl. She gave that power to the person because of how she perceived him, not because of any material effect the relationship could have. If a girl had sex with somebody from a club, regretted it, then said “I only did what he asked because I liked his dance moves”, is that a valid reason to admonish the guy? Does admiration for someone automatically shift the majority of power to that person? I don’t think it does.

It's virtually always a red flag when a person tells you not to listen to what someone else has to say. Part of the problem I think is that the internet and culture of most of it makes it so hard to admit when you’re wrong and even harder if you did something wrong in a way that’s serious. Thousand of people are sending and saying the nastiest things to you and want to see you suffer as much as possible and you know that no matter how much you apologize or own up or even give an inch there’s always going to be a large portion that won’t accept it because hating you and seeing you in pain is more important to them than anything constructive and forward looking. Btw, I just wanna point out. I'm only 28 mins into this video, and if I remember correctly Turkey Tom never really goes over the original sexual assault story. The first story that broke this, was such huge bs, I can't believe there's people in the story who still try to cling onto it. The girl would have to be so lacking in agency, that she'd need a guardian just to be able to walk outside by herself. The absolute worst this situation can amount to, is a bad experience. The fact that people are still haunting the donder guy over such bs is blowing my mind, and the fact that Turkey Tom just wouldn't come out and say it's obviously bullshit is part of why I'm annoyed at the video, or videos. Schadenfreude word for word means "damage-joy", it describes the joy you get out of someone elses misfortune.
For example if someone you heavily dislike loses their job you might feel Schadenfreude for them.

Y'all are all wrong about what schadenfreude is. Schadenfreude is taking PLEASURE in someone else's misfortune. It's not just bad things happen to someone, or someone walks into something bad, it's specifically you taking pleasure in something unfortunate happening to someone.
The only way lex could give herself any credibility at this point would be to cut ties with and denounce everybody who mistreated her story
